At least 10 Gaza rockets strike Negev, one near Ashkelon school
Gaza militants fired more than 10 rockets at Israel's southern communities on Tuesday morning, continuing the cross-border attacks that Israel has sought to stop in its offensive against Hamas in the coastal strip.

One of the rockets exploded near a school in Ashkelon. The strike caused minimal damage, but no casualties.

Some of the rockets were fired during a temporary humanitarian cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, imposed daily to allow a free flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

1. I guess Israel's mission to stop these rockets needs to continue
until Hamas can no longer fire these anytime they wish.

2. Israel's only choice is to commit genocide
Can Israel do to the Palestinians what Hitler wanted to do to the Jews -- exterminate an entire people?

Israel's military might will not prevent future Palestinian attacks on Israel, so why not wipe they out? What is Israel waiting for?

9. Are you serious or sarcastic?
Israel will not exterminate the Palestinians - nor the other way round for that matter.

13. What does Israel have to lose by exterminating the Palestinians?
Their soul? What good is a soul if it makes one feel guilty for slaughtering an impoverished people, whose main military armaments are glorified fireworks.

If the Algerian resistance to French occupation is the model of resistance for the Palestinians and other Middle East groups, and Palestinian and Arab birthrates are higher than Israeli Jews then Israel as a Jewish state will always be in conflict. Exterminating the Palestinians and Arabs will remove the internal conflict and give all land in Palestine back to Israeli Jews.

-----------------------------------
Of course, I'm being sarcastic! Israel and her blind supporters need to be slapped repeatedly in the face with the war crimes they are committing.

4. They never run out of rockets, but "oh, poor us, we have
no food and medicine."

Earth to Hamas, if you're going to spend a cease fire re-arming yourself, it might be a good idea to stock up on the humanitarian goods that you're going to need after firing them at Israel. :eyes:

7. Earth to cboy4
It might be hard to stock up on humanitarian goods when your U.S. supported neighbor maintains a blockade against you.

Starving civilian populations and denying them medical supplies in retaliation for the actions of Hamas is despicable, and punishing civilian populations in this way is a war crime.

10. No, they can smuggle them in through Egypt, like they do
with their rockets and explosives.

12. If you've read any news or seen any video from Gaza over the last several years
they are apparently not able to maintain stocks of the most basic supplies while under Israeli blockade -- as Israel imports weapons in broad daylight from the USA.

No need for the Israelis to smuggle rockets and explosives, is there cboy4?

14. Key word: SMUGGLE. That suggests you get around any
blockade by bringing the goods in through the tunnels the IDF is destroying.

Why are they being desroyed now?

Because they're being used to smuggle munitions.

That is crystal clear as Hamas seemingly has an endless supply of rockets on hand.

24. So in your world
it's OK for the world's "only remaining super-power" to arm a chosen "ally" in the Middle East but if an opponent dares to try to arm themselves it's smuggling?

That explains a lot about your worldview.

Israel is blowing up women, children, mosques, hospitals, everything in Gaza, and the excuse you postulate for this massacre is; they smuggle weapons? Do you understand what you sound like?

there is no excuse for Gazans to grow up without a world-class education.

If you aren't blind or on fire every human being can read.

18. Actually, my husband is a product of the Gaza education system.
I am quite familiar with the lengths that Palestinians, and Gazans in particular, have had to go to to secure an education for themselves in the face of Israel's attempts to disrupt Palestinian education.

I don't think any child in Gaza is receiving an iota of education these days however.

Those Ashkelon kids are lucky.

20. Do you think the schools are open today? Open to the sky, maybe.
And even before this overt slaughter, how well do you think hungry and thirsty children learn? What about children who need but don't get medical care?

19. No they don't.
All schools, kindergartens, nurseries and colleges in Ashkelon, Ashdod, Beer Sheva, not to mention Sderot and the other small towns around Gaza, have been closed since the rocket fire began. This is the only reason why there are "no casualties" when rockets hit schools and kindergartens - because Israel cares for its citizens and instructs them to remain in bomb shelters. A few high school classes have been allowed to reconvene in bomb shelters only.

So yeah, lucky lucky kids, sitting in bomb shelters day in day out.

21. Hmmm, Israel's strategy doesn't seem to be working, does it?
Maybe Israel should try something else. Like a just, comprehensive peace settlement.
