Two children killed in Gaza as Israeli tank strikes United Nations school before ceasefire
Two Palestinian boys were killed when a shell, apparently fired by an Israeli tank, hit a UN-run school in Gaza just hours before Israel's cabinet was due to call a ceasefire.

excerpt~

The two brothers, aged five and seven, were killed at a school sheltering up to 1,800 local residents in Biet Lahiya, in northern Gaza. The mother of the children lost both her legs in the incident and another 13 people were injured.

Christopher Gunness, a United Nations official, called on Israel to investigate the incident, which he said could constitute a "war crime."

But an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman, Yigor Palmor, said: "There is not the slightest piece of evidence that Israel committed war crimes."

1. it is difficult to identify the four dead the chemical material turned their bodies into white bones
GAZA, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Thirteen Palestinians were killed since the beginning of Saturday in the continuing Israeli military operations in Gaza Strip, bringing the total death toll to 1,205.

A number of fatalities was reported when Israeli artillery fired several phosphorus shells at a UN-run school used to harbor displaced families in northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahiya, according to witnesses, medical sources and a spokesman of UN Relief and Works Agency.

"Ambulance crews evacuated the bodies of two young brothers and their critically injured mother from the school," said Mu'awia Hassanien, a health ministry official. He added that 13 others were seriously burnt.

Meanwhile, the Israeli aerial and artillery bombing on Gaza continued, intensifying the strikes at the northern and southern ends of the strip.

According to witnesses, another attack by white phosphorus shells targeted al-Karama district in northwest Gaza city, killing four people.

2. Another Israeli WAR CRIME
The Israeli Foreign Minister is NOT the judge of what is a war crime just as no member of the Bush administration can be judge of their war crimes.

But they know the truth in their hearts and the truth is why both Israel and the USA are the strongest opponents of the ICC. The guilty refuse to accept jurisdiction of the court that would condemn them.

5. Maybe this was an accident. Maybe the Israelis mistook the UN school for a food warehouse or
a baby clinic.
