About 160 journalists from various international news agencies entered the Gaza Strip through Egypt’s Rafah crossing Thursday, two days after they were denied access by Egyptian authorities and only hours before Israel finally opened its borders into Gaza to the world press.
After waiting for two days without access to Gaza, 160 journalists from around the world gained access into Gaza to conduct field reports on the post-war Strip.
The journalists and reporters were from Egypt, Spain, U.S., Japan, Indonesia, China, Turkey, Britain, Greece, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, Australia, Pakistan, Columbia, Romania, Hungary, Venezuela, Austria and Ukraine.
Egyptian authorities halted the flow of journalists into Gaza on Tuesday, after Israel protested Egypt's decision to allow representatives of international media agencies to enter Gaza without consulting the Jewish state.
