Gaza Strip buildings blown up
Interesting method of fighting crime. How about we adopt these methods over in the states? Anyone found guilty of murder will have their entire neighborhood levelled to the ground. Everyone cool with that?

The New Zealand Herald

NETZARIM JUNCTION - The Israeli Army blew up three large, empty buildings in the Gaza Strip yesterday in what it said was retaliation for a deadly Palestinian attack on a nearby Jewish settlement.

Troops evacuated more than 2000 Palestinians from neighbouring homes before triggering the explosions, which sent clouds of black smoke billowing up and rocked the area for kilometres around, damaging many other structures.

The buildings south of Gaza City overlooked the heavily guarded settlement of Netzarim, where two gunmen on Saturday killed three soldiers. Troops shot one dead, but the other escaped.

The Israeli incursion began when troops destroyed a Palestinian police station to which the Army said one of the gunmen fled and had received shelter.

1. Yes, I heard about that

that is simply disgusting. I cannot think of anyone doing something that sick.

The Likud party believes that there should be peace for peace. Well how can there be peace. The terrorist groups had a cease fire, but Sharon still built settlements, the wall, and barely dismanteled ANY settlements.

3. More from The Globe and Mail

Mohammed Hassan Ali, 39, a father of five, said: "I can see dozens of people from the building leaving, mostly on foot. We don't know where to go."

Here is some info on that 'ceasefire', which might interest you:

Since the commencement of the ceasefire (which applies only to Palestinians) on June 29, Israeli soldiers and settlers have killed 17 people (including 7 children), wounded 437 (including 88 children), arrested 593 people, confiscated 4,457 acres of land for Jewish settlements, bulldozed 987 acres of farmland, destroyed 12,462 trees and destroyed or damaged 253 houses.

Never mind the fact that us destroying causes you to destroy!

6. This article is totally biased
Doesn't give the IOF point of view enough.

Clearly these buildings were being used by militants to "observe" Netzarim.

Hence, the structures themselves are terrorists.

Okay, I think I've got the spin...

7. No, the structures themselves...
could possibly be used in the future for terrorist operations!

I think that's it.
