Shoe attack against Israeli Ambassador
The Ambassador if Israel in Sweden, Benny Dagan, was this Wednesday evening subjected to a shoe attack during a lecture at Stockholm University.

- Around 50 people were on the premises and we were also there guarding. At 17.15 pm two persons throw objects at the ambassador. One throw a shoe and the other one or two books, says Joakim Caryll, press officer of the Stockholm Police, to news agency Sveriges Nyheter.

It is still unclear if the objects hit the ambassador, who held a lecture about the coming election in Israel.

The two perpetrators were caught and are suspected of battery, or alternatively attempt of battery. They are now questioned by the police at Södermalm police station. The lecture is said to have continued after the attack, but was once again disturbed at the ending.

1. Nice to see the shoe approach catching on
The Chinese dictator was in the sights the other day, though I must tell these would-be pitchers-of-the-sneaker that they need to work on their aim. The shoe, to be fair, is a difficult object to throw with accuracy, as the weight distribution makes it wobble mid-air. However, there must be diligent practice so that when the opportunity presents itself, the loafer connects on the first try.
