We didn't bow to Obama on West Bank outpost evacuation
Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Thursday that pressure from the United States did not bring about the evacuation by Israeli security Forces of an illegal West Bank outpost earlier in the day.

"There is no connection to American pressure, and I have clarified this to the settler leaders," Barak said.

The evacuation of the outpost of Maoz Esther on Thursday morning came only a day after Defense Ministry sources told Haaretz that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Barak have agreed on a plan to evacuate illegal outposts in the West Bank, mainly those located on Palestinian land.

This was part of the "price" Netanyahu paid Obama in exchange for the latter's statements about Iran's nuclearization, the sources said.

Maoz Esther resident Avraham Sandak said 40 people had been living at the hilltop site northeast of Ramallah and they would start work immediately to replace the demolished buildings.

"We hope to sleep here tonight and we hope, with God's help, to rebuild it, not like before but bigger," he said.

Maoz Esther was founded a year and a half ago only a few hundred yards from Kochav HaShachar in memory of Esther Galia, who was shot and killed by terrorists while driving home to Kochav HaShachar. The synagogue at the site is named Shirat Yonadav in memory of Yonadav Hirschfeld who was killed in the Mercaz HaRav terrorist attack.

Five families live in Maoz Esther and they promised to begin rebuilding their homes already the same day the goverment destroyed them.

2. Settlers begin rebuilding Maoz Ester
Six hours after security forces evacuate West Bank outpost, youths return vowing to make it larger

<snip>

"Just six hours after it was evacuated by security forces, the West Bank outpost of Maoz Ester was being rebuilt Thursday by dozens of settlers who returned to the site of their deconstructed homes.

MK Michael Ben Ari (National Union) also arrived at the scene and nailed a mezuzah to the wooden structure being raised by the settlers, explaining: "It's my duty as a legislator."

Dozens of youths working to rebuild the outpost said they would make sure Maoz Ester was expanded even further than it had been originally.

Police and Civil Administration forces evacuated the tiny outpost in the Binyamin region earlier Thursday, in a move which has not been seen for some time.

Seven tin huts and several youths residing in the area were removed from the Maoz Ester outpost. No violent incidents were recorded. A building was recently demolished in the area, leading to violent acts on the part of local residents."

4. All the settlements on the West Bank are illegal, not just these shanty towns
Ehud Barak can talk from both sides of his mouth and from his anus at the same time.

What a dipshit!

5. I fhought the part about this being a "deal" with Obama
dismantle settlements in exchange for support concerning Iran, so they dismantle a shanty town that is rebuilding as we write; apparently building materials plentiful for these purposes remenids me of the "roadblocks" announce last year or we said we'd tear them down we did not say we wouldn't rebuild them
