Zahar: Jews will soon be expelled from Palestine
http://www.jpost.com/MiddleEast/Article.aspx?id=194259

snip - Hamas leader says Jews were kicked out by France, Britain, Belgium, Russia and Germany “because they betrayed, stole and corrupted these countries;” adds, "we will soon pray at Aqsa Mosque."

snip - “Let’s join ranks and speak in one voice,” Zahar said in his appeal to Fatah. “Together, with blood, we could liberate our lands and holy sites. You have tasted the bitterness of arbitrary negotiations.” He said that Hamas was making “big efforts” to ensure the success of reconciliation talks with Fatah.

snip - In response, Abbas’s Fatah faction accused Shallah of serving the agenda of Iran. “We urge Shallah to adopt a constructive approach and not a destructive one,” said Fatah spokesman Ahmed Assaf. “Many Arabs and foreigners have tried to hijack the Palestinians’ independent decision-making process, but Fatah has preserved all Palestinian achievements despite internal and external conspiracies.”

Right on cue Hamas.....do your very best to undercut every single effort to peace. But you do a grave disservice to those you are supposed to serve. Abbas must be getting closer than we all thought. Who knew that an independant bid at the UN would garner such vile comments from Hamas regarding the jews? It is abhorrent.

Edited on Sat Nov-06-10 08:21 PM by Ken Burch
The right-wing hardliners in the Israeli government and the IDF that YOU cheerlead for made people like that possible.

He's an asshole, but people like him can't be stopped by keeping the Occupation in place. And you know it.

Besides, you've said equally loathesome things about Palestinians.

Edited on Sat Nov-06-10 08:22 PM by Ken Burch
The longer it goes on, the worse the leaders get. This is why no Occupation, anywhere, should go on indefinitely.

And there's no way that keeping the Occupation going will STOP people in Palestine saying things like that. They'd say it about ANYBODY who was treating them the way the IDF and the settlers(a group that really shouldn't be considered Israelis, since being Israeli is about having a homeland for yourself, not taking somebody ELSE's homeland)have treated them.

The best way to put people like Zahar out of business is to end the Occupation and for people who identify as "pro-Israel" to make their voices heard against the persecution of the Palestinian people. It isn't possible to stop them by building more settlements and having the IDF destroy more Palestinian homes and destroy the olive trees of innocent farmers.

OH, and if you meant "Cites" about your comments regarding Palestinians: I'll be awhile sorting them out. There are a lot of them.
And you're gleeful celebrations everytime the IDF kills Palestinians are a good example. Not all the people the IDF kills have it coming, you know.

"beer" smilie to celebrate the completely unjustified destruction of the livlihood of innocent Palestinian olive farmers, leaving them with no hope for a life at all, is a start. You were saying that those people weren't human beings and that their lives don't matter.

There are others and I'll find them...if they haven't been mercifully deleted.

And your sickening "Israel RAWWKKKSSS" cheer that you post everytime the IDF murders somebody is another. It's disgusting to celebrate anyone's death.

12. Fuckin A' RIGHT!
The "Israelis" have brought terror and bloodshed upon THEMSELVES by their continuous and wholly illegal occupation of Palestinian land. If what they are doing over there isn't Apartheid, I don't know what is.

Finally, if they would simply lay down there arms and get out of there -- immediately -- they would have peace tomorrow.

34. Hardly! I want nothing more (and nothing less) than a cessation of ALL hostilities...
-- in that part of the world. But as the white Imperialist aggressor, Israel needs to step up and do the Right Thing. That means accepting the Arab Peace Initiative at face value. It is a good agreement. A FAIR agreement. (Do you think former President Jimmy Carter would be endorsing it if it wasn't?!)

It is an agreement that, at long and dear last, promises to bring overdue social justice to an embattled region.

56. Something I've noticed about many people opposed to boycotting Israel...
Many of the ones that I see exerting so much time and energy attacking people who choose to boycott Israel for what it's doing to the Palestinians either strongly support the Israeli blockade of Gaza, which is a more severe form of boycott, or say little to nothing in opposition to it. I find that if the argument against boycotting Israel contains things about how innocent Israelis will be affected, it's an incredibly hypocritical argument...

29. A deflection? It was in the Hamas quote in the OP.
And if you want to make a legitimate criticism of Israel - or anywhere- why don't you use somewhat more precise wording? E.g. exactly where they should get out of (I agree that they should get out of the OTs).

Your post to me is most certainly a deflection, if it comes to that.

Can't we all just play nice and fly kites together? Kites are awesome. We need to give a kite to every person of the world. Then we would have instant world peace, because everyone would be too busy flying kites and wouldn't have time to be mean to each other.
