The killing fields of Rafah
snip: Quietly, far from the public eye, Israeli soldiers
continue killing Palestinians. Hardly a day goes
by without casualties, some innocent civilians,
and the stories of their violent deaths never
reach the Israeli consciousness or awareness

comment: I am amazed that the Israeli apologists on this board can waste everyone's time on a debate over labeling someone a "terrorist" vs. "militant" when the situation in *reality* is so horrific. If you want to talk about what's really happening as the IDF kills civilians on a daily basis, by all means please do so, but wasting time on semantic distinctions is (or should be) beneath serious posters. If you can't deal with reality, perhaps you have nothing to contribute. It could be the case !

2. Hey, the wall is supposed
to be preventing terrorist attacks and no Israelis are killed. As long as only Palestinians suffer, get killed or driven out of their homes, everything is just fine...

Boy shot in Rafah by brother

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1070165915870

Palestinian security officials on Sunday retracted claims that IDF forces were responsible for the killing of Hani Raba'iyah, 9 near Rafah last Wednesday morning and admitted that he had been shot by his brother.

Israeli security officials noted it was the first time that the Palestinians had issued such a statement admitting they were in the wrong.

snip

...Palestinian security officials also conducted a probe and discovered that the boy's brother was responsible for the shooting and that the father had attempted to hide the truth hoping to receive funds from one of the terrorist organizations such as the Hamas who hand out payments to families whose relatives are killed by the IDF.

father covering up a murder??.. probably learned that from the weasel.

but it was so much easier to lie about the mean old idf.

And I'll bet you enjoyed the kid who fell off his stretcher during
his funeral and then picked himself off and got back on.

4. Gideon Levy is reporting on something that happens nearly
every day (the killing of civilians). Apparently you can't get your head around that situation. I can sympathize, because it's hard for me too. Sure we'd rather focus on the occasional dirty game played by some Palestinian, as reported in the Post. Of course this can happen. But it doesn't change the fact that civilians are killed in Rafah nearly every day by the "mean old IDF". This is not some kind of fairy tale ! I wish it were.

6. The PA did the right thing...
...this time. They conducted their own probe, found that the man was lying, and retracted the initial report.

If you're going to grasp for straws, at least try to find a good one.
