Gaza flotilla ship 'sabotaged by divers'

A Swedish ship due to join an upcoming Gaza-bound aid flotilla has been sabotaged in the Greek port of Piraeus, organisers say.

In a statement, they said "hostile divers had destroyed the propeller house and cut the propeller shaft" of the vessel Juliano on Monday.

The ship is part of the 10-vessel Freedom Flotilla II that is expected to set sail from Greece and elsewhere for the Gaza Strip in the coming days in a bid to break Israel's blockade of the Palestinian territory.

1. It seems the Israelis will break any law or kill any person that endangers

their criminal stranglehold on Gaza. Sadly, I do not believe this makes Israel one iota safer or closer to peace with their neighbors.

3. The flotilla seems to be causing a lot more preliminary fuss this time.

Not that it didn't cause a fuss last time, but everybody seems to be upping the ante this time. From which one can infer that the last go around is seen by all parties as significant in it's effect.

4. The brilliance of the flotilla is that it so perfectly exposes IDF lies

it also shows just how free Israel is, threatening to ban reporters for 10 years etc.

Actually, there's a much better flotilla scene in "Cast a Giant Shadow" -- with Senta Berger. Now THERE is a refugee no navy would interdict.
