Hamas Videos: Rocket Launches from Civilian Areas

Hamas has confirmed what Israel has charged for years and has released videos of rocket and mortar shell launches from within civilian areas in Gaza. The IDF release the video after taking it from Hama’s official website, showing launches from civilian areas, despite the danger to nearby residents.

At 14 seconds in the video, a rocket is launched in front of a school and a mosque.

Big surprise.

3. yes, but it would be suicidal to use them

there are quite a few open areas where there is little building....and little cover and used for military training...but not for rocket attacking. Usually they use the tunnels beneath those areas to move around ....get near the fence, launch a mortar or two, place an IED and get out before being discovered.

setting up the kassams takes a few more minutes, needs more space, etc hence they need the cover of the built up areas
