Turkey: IHH draws up list of IDF soldiers linked to Gaza flotilla raid
A Turkish public prosecutor said Monday that the Turkish IHH organization drew up a list – reportedly found through Facebook - of Israeli soldiers who were involved in the 2010 raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, the Turkish newspaper Today's Zaman reported on Monday.

Istanbul Deputy Public Prosecutor Ates Hasan Sozen denied reports that the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office asked the National Intelligenc

“No state institution had such a request, nor does it have any information on this. The prosecutor conducting the investigation has given no such order,” Sözen said told Today's Zaman, adding that the list was handed in by an IHH lawyer.

Sozen was responding to a report in the Turkish Sabah daily that claimed that MIT received a list of Israel Defense Forces soldiers who participated in the raid on the Mavi Marmara, which resulted in the deaths of nine Turkish citizens. The report said that nearly all of the soldiers were identified using Facebook.

1. So what about Arab spring has them so spooked?
Or is it something else? They've really jumped into the MidEast as if they think they're welcome. Are they?

3. The list
is apparently derived from a list of "war criminals" which was published on the Internet after Operation Cast Lead. According to YNet (there doesn't seem to be an English version available yet) It includes people who only contributed to the operation tangentially, some who didn't have anything to do with it (e.g. the list includes a D-9 operator; I'm pretty confident those didn't come into play on the Marmara) as well as people who weren't even in the IDF at the time (e.g. Zvi Fogel, who was the head of a regional council - still is, AFAIK - in 2010, or Ami Ayalon, Dan Harel, etc.)

10. OK, and?
Even it was the BBC, which was where the first picture came from, you would not possibly be engaging in the logical fallacy of Argumentum ad Hominem, would you? Since you offer nothing substantive about the facts themselves, attack the messenger? That would be silly, most people would see right through that and you would look silly making that argument.

12. I'm not attacking you, you would know it if I was. I wanted to know
where it was derived from, if it was posted at the BBC, I would want to know where they got it too.

You think it is silly to question sources do ya? I find that a funny position to take. In the United States,
our government makes lots of claims they can't back up. I guess the IDF is more special than I could have guessed.

If you notice, I did not say anything to you about the IDF, you're pretty defensive about them, I think.

13. OK, so we established where it came from
And the facts as presented have withstood independent scrutiny.

15. Not referring to the palmer report at all
I am referring to the video that shows members of the "Humanitarian aid" ship beat and throw a man overboard (youtube) and the video that shows the weapons seized on board.
