Kent State professor yells 'Death to Israel' at former Israeli diplomat
A Kent State professor stormed out of a lecture given by a former Israeli diplomat on Tuesday evening, shouting "Death to Israel" after an exchange with the former diplomat, the Kent State University news website reported.

Ishmael Khaldi, the first Bedouin to serve in Israel's foreign service, spoke at Bowman Hall at Kent University on Tuesday, opening the floor to questions after he finished his speech, the report said.

The first question was from history Professor Julio Pino, who reportedly asked Kahilidi how he and the Israeli government could justify providing aid to countries like Turkey with blood money that came from the deaths of Palestinian children and babies.

Israel has recently provided Turkey with aid and assistance in dealing with the earthquake that has claimed the lives of over 400 people and injured over 1,000.

2. Yet, I can't even get an interview for a college gig...
Been sending resumes into that black hole for some three or four years now...no results.

But professors can pull this shit and still collect a paycheck. Hope he has tenure!

I just sit and wonder...

3. Good grief.
I could believe that a hotheaded student might act like that - but a professor?

7. They may have anti-Israel views; but I don't think any of these has shouted 'Death to Israel!'
in the middle of someone's speech.

Plenty of professors have views to which one might object, but most don't demonstrate them in quite such an adolescent way.

This was the same nutty professor who though JFK planned a cuban genocide with the Cuban Missile Crisis.

12. US Prof Defends 'Death to Israel' Remark; 'In Name of Allah'
He wrote in a-mail to HigherEd.com, "What I spoke was for the sake of the children of Palestine, and no other reason. The only politics I have are 'There is no God but God, and Mohammed is His Messenger.' "

He rounded out his logic by quoting the Koran, "They try to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will allow nothing but the perfection of that light, though the disbelievers dislike it."

Lefton, Kent’s president, stated that Pino’s treatment of the Bedouin guest was "reprehensible, and an embarrassment to our university." He added, “Calling for the destruction of the state from which our guest comes (as do some of our students, faculty and community members) is a grotesque failure to model these values."

Pino’s background includes a raid on his home by Secret Service agents after Town Hall’s Mike Adams wrote two years ago that Pino informed in an e-mail that President Obama would soon need some more coffins sent to the White House.

14. Did you read what the President of the AAUP (Cary Nelson) said?
Support for Pino’s freedom to shout inciting remarks was expressed by Cary Nelson, national president of the American Association of University Professors. "Calling out a political slogan during a question period falls well within the speech rights of any member of a university community," he said. "Expressive outbursts do not substitute for rational analysis, but they have long played a role in our national political life.”

He thinks shouting "Death to Israel" is a POLITICAL statement.

So calling for the genocide of millions is just politics, according to this yahoo.

15. AAUP said the same things about the terrorist financier Sami al-Arian
at the University of South Florida, two terrorist financiers were university professors. Both were eventually deported, but the AAUP supported their right to hate.
