Gaza Terrorists May Be Planning to Down Airliners

It is only a matter of months before the laser-based ”C-Music” system will be installed on approximately 100 Israeli passenger planes, officials added.

A small number of planes flying to high-risk locations already are fitted with a less sophisticated system. The alarm bells in the Defense Ministry were raised in 2002 when Muslim terrorists used shoulder-fired missiles to try to down an Israeli passenger plane. The missiles missed their target.

A successful downing of a commercial Israeli plane by Hamas, Islamic Jihad or other Gaza-based terrorist groups would cause large-scale casualties and would provide the terrorists with enormous support among Arab nations as well is within the Palestinian Authority.

Terrorists in Gaza have succeeded in smuggling advanced weapons and ammunition through underground tunnels despite European and American promises, made after Operation Cast Lead three years ago, that they would help install mechanisms to prevent smuggling.

1. Gaza Terrorist
Gaza Hamas terrorist just might, just might have already have WMD's sumggled into their midst, that could wipe israel off the map.

And they might, just might also be the biggest threat to America, and Western civillization.
They may have succeded in getting massive quantitites of WMD's smuggled through the tunnels.
Maybe we and Isreal need to "DEFEND OUSELVES"from this most serious and imminent threat to America

10. really? I do not find most DU posters leverage Argumentum ad Absurbum
I see lots of ad hominem and straw man arguments, but never going to absurd lengths like this poster had.

6. Your words are of no comfort
Thanks for your reassurances. Then again, your reassurances hold no value.

3. The last I read about the tunnels is that they are all closed off.
Let me get this straight - the desired attack on Iran will be kicked off because of something Gazans do?

If it is true that Gazans have missile that can shoot down El Al, why not go after the people who sent the missiles through the tunnels?

Oh? That's the plan? It's Iran?

I don't believe anything coming out of ME..And I don't know if the IAEA can be trusted.

About 4 1/2 years ago, C. Rice told us that Iran wouldn't have nuclear weapons for nine years.

Lies everywhere.

I will be a dropout if the US or Israel attacks Iran. Horrible people keep threatening the world. This is the power of the Bilderberg Group. And the leader of Iran goads. The world needs a miracle. The little people mean nothing to all the maniacal leaders and elite.

4. Where was Iran mentioned in the article?
And, you are right, the IDF should go after the people who sent the missles through the tunnels.

7. It's all related. It doesn't have to be mentioned. We know from watching
the 'warm up' to invasions that the plot is planted with articles like this. This kind of linking has gone on on forums for decades.

There is a long standing war between Israel and Iran/Hamas/Hizbollah There are not many ways that I separate them when I hear about a new happening.

"Over the last 20 years, the U.S. has been slowly phasing out economic aid to Israel and gradually replacing it with increased military aid. Beginning in 2007, the U.S. has increased military aid by $150 million each year. By FY2012, we will be sending Israel $3.09 billion a year (or an average of $8.5 million a day) and will continue to provide military aid at that level through 2018. U.S. tax dollars are subsidizing one of the most powerful foreign militaries. According to the CRS report, “ grants to Israel represent 18.2% of the overall Israeli defense budget.” "

Iran is a US enemy and an axis of evil country.
Iran is an Israel enemy and might as well be an axis of evil country.

The US has a huge investment in Israel. Israel is considered an international State of the US.

We're not just observing the political fighting of two countries or three factions within one country - we are part of anything that Jewish Israelis do against the other two factions in Israel and the country of Iran.

That graph only represents the military spending, the economic aid is twice as much.

I do not understand how anyone can separate the events of the four.

Did any official department of the U.S. step in to protect people bringing aid to Gaza. No way. What reply was given for allowing Israel to commit piracy and imperialism? The aid ships contained weapons from Iran. Just one example.

US and Israel (plus UK and Europe)
and the war against
Iran Hamas Hisbollah

8. So....the article does not make a link to Iran
The best you can do is provide an unrelated link to a fallacious web site.

9. Hamas also gives to Charity
Westerns keep on getting confused with the multi-faceted hydra that these terrorist organizations are. There is a public facing benovalent side, then there is the private bomb-making in basement side to groups like Hamas and others.
