Qassam lands near kindergarten in Negev

Two Qassam rockets fired from the Gaza Strip on Tuesday exploded in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council.

Dudi, a father whose son attends the kindergarten, estimated there were only seven seconds between the alarm and the explosion.

"The rocket hit the outer wall," he recounted. "It's very frightening for a father who has a child in kindergarten, despite the fact that they are fortified. Some two hours before the hit the kids left the kindergarten, and some of them play in an adjacent playground. If, God forbid, the rocket would have landed then there would have been chaos. "

As it turned out, a few teenagers were playing outside when the rocket landed. They ran for cover in a nearby fortified area and were miraculously spared injury.

... actually that this thread hasn't been crowded with Hamas apologists double-talking about how kindergarten children are the legitimate targets because of an occupation of Gaza that doesn't actually exist -- or words to that effect.

10. They're everywhere, Donald. I can't turn round without bumping into one!

They're the folk who support a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza and have the nerve to think human rights are universal and apply to Palestinians as much as Israelis. They're fond of those radical Left organisations like Peace Now as well. I think to make it easier to spot us, we all should be assigned with little icons that say things like 'This feminist atheist socialist type ♥♥ Hamas!' ;)

5. Sad to hear this...

I'm not Jewish but I have family members who are. My step-sister's cousin married a Jewish woman, converted to Judaism, and they made aliyah a few years back. Last year we went to visit them in Jerusalem.

I found the Jewish people to be kind, thoughtful, tolerant, and my experience with them was wonderful. We would be invited over to eat at restaurants by random strangers, and the Israelis were accommodating to us, with one restaurateur even going out of the way to prepare a BLT made from real bacon for us. While I was there, there were constant rocket attacks on us. Each explosion was a reminder of the hatred that the Israelis must endure day in and day out. Each broken window, an echo of that awful night of Kristallnacht decades ago. Each rock thrown by a Palestinian was a reminder of the humiliation of Auschwitz.

Israel is a democracy which I have no problem supporting. It is a wonderful nation which is comprised of tolerant people whom I cannot bear to see suffer any more than they already have.
