Lebanese TV debate about Syria turns into a brawl
Pens, paper and a glass of water flew through the air as a heated debate between two Lebanese officials on the crisis in neighboring Syria turned physical during a live television talk show.

The fireworks erupted Monday night on the "Bi Mawdouiya" program, which airs on MTV Lebanon. It featured Mustafa Alloush, from the pro-Western Future Movement, and Fayez Shukr, representing the Baath Arab Socialist Party in Lebanon, which is linked to the Baath Party of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Alloush declared that he considers Assad a "liar" and doesn't believe what the president says. An outraged Shukr shot back: "You are a liar and your master is a liar." Alloush told his fellow guest to shut up. It was getting personal.

During the live broadcast, the two began to hurl curses at each other across the table. Shukr tossed a water glass at Alloush. Viewers then saw a hail of what appeared to be pens and pieces of papers flying across the screen

1. we need legislators throwing furniture, like they do in Asia.
Then there was the congressman who beat the Senator with a cane and damn near killed him.

And duels would be fun to watch.

It worked for Aaron Burr.........

3. yeah! Bring back the Duel!
Then when the worst of them have offed eachother, we won't have to worry about getting them out of office...that's not a bad idea....

4. That didn't end up working out all that well for Aaron Burr.
In fact, it worked out only slightly better for Burr than Hamilton.

Although, if you factor future reputation into the equation Hamilton comes out solidly ahead.

8. The "Congressional Combat Channel!". Sounds good.
My first thought with this one was that at least they care what happens, they are not just marketing themselves to the highest bidder.
