Israeli troops kill unarmed Palestinians

Israeli forces shot and killed two unarmed Palestinians early yesterday and were hunting for three others in southern Israel after the group approached the fence that separates between Israel and the Gaza Strip, the army said.

The area along the border fence is off-limits to Palestinians, the army said.

The soldiers opened fire when they saw the group of six nearing the area. Two were killed and four fled into Israel, although one was later caught, the army said.

Police and soldiers were last night searching for the other three Palestinians, setting up impromptu checkpoints and roadblocks throughout southern Israel, the army said.

How would they be returning to Gaza from Israel if they were attempting to cross the fence into Israel? Those with work permits are allowed to enter through the gates. "Illegal work in Israel" is the work of terrorism.

This claim has been denied by Israeli officials. There have been more than 20 attempted suicide attacks on Israeli since the attack at Maxim Restaurant in Haifa. The potion of the security fence that is already built makes infiltration more difficult and infiltrators easire to apprehend. Yes, innocent deaths are what are counted here.

Soldiers arrested a third Palestinian trying to infiltrate into Israel, and were searching for three others who crossed into Israeli territory nearby, the army said.

The article in "theage" report did not mention that one had been arrested.

Also note that "Police and soldiers were last night searching for the other three Palestinians, setting up impromptu checkpoints and roadblocks throughout southern Israel, the army said." Roadblocks were set up inside Israel. These measures are counter-terrorist and the delays and checkpoints are in Israel when necessary, as well as in the PA areas.
