Beep on 'mission' for trip to Israel

Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrión is heading to Israel to fight anti-Semitism at home.

Carrión announced yesterday he will lead a delegation of Bronx Hispanic and African-American religious leaders on the "educational mission" in the spring.

Israel has been dealing with a growing negative sentiment around the globe over its dealings with the Palestinian people and government, and incidents of anti-Semitism have been on the rise.

"I think it's important for our leaders to understand the Israeli reality, both Jewish and Arab," Carrión told the Daily News. "I think this will build the kind of bridges we need built in our city.

and many other Arabs around the world... Lately even more so even in the USA...

7. Perhaps I'd have more sympathy

if there were some Arab nations that actually showed ANY equality for other religions or ethnicities. For that matter, providing rights for women or gays wouldn't be a bad start either.

Perhaps the Arabs around the world living in Arab nations should spend more time criticizing the appalling lack of minority rights in their own countries and show us a new shining example of tolerance.

3. I wonder if Mr. Adolfo Carrión & company

will be visiting the occupied territories? I think he should.

What better way to bridge the misunderstandings between Americans and Arabs, than for Mr. Carrion to be a witness to the conditions the Palestinians have to live under?
Most Americans think that terrorism is caused by freedom-hateing Muslims. Perhaps after Mr. Carrion sees fellow brown-colored people, living in a ghetto behind barbed wire and with no running water or access to medical care, will he understand why so many young Palestinians are willing to commit suicide rather than live their lives as unempowered dogs.

...if Mr. Carrion and his delegation will be bringing any Chinese-Americans with them to Israel, and if they'll have to sign an agreement promising not to have sex with Israeli women during their visit.
