Israel Destroys 4000 Palestinian Houses in Three Years: Official
http://palestinechronicle.com/story.php?sid=20031219172024502

<snip>

"GAZA STRIP (Xinhua) --The number of Palestinian houses that were destroyed by the Israeli army in the West Bank and Gaza during the past three years has reached 4,000, a high-ranking Palestinian official said on Thursday.

Deifallah El-Akhras, director general of the Housing Ministry said that the financial losses out of the 4,000 completely destroying houses had exceeded 115 million US dollars over the past three years.

He told reporters that the houses that were partially damaged during tanks and aircraft shillings as well as opening fire had reached 50,000 Palestinian houses, with losses of 40 million dollars.

Roads and highways were also destroyed by the Israeli army tanks and bulldozers in addition to streets infrastructure with a cost of 102 million dollars, he said, adding that the total financial losses of the Israeli destruction had reached to 330 million dollars."

1. so in addition
to all the IDF murder operations, they've destroyed 4000 homes.

Nah there's no ethnic cleansing going on.

2. An uprising
Of course, there is a Palestinian Uprising. This should be allowed to reach it's conclusion of massive suicide bombing attacks on Israeli citizens, destroying buses owned by private companies, and restaurants also owned by private individuals? Killing 679 non-combatants and 36 under the age of 12? Who knows where it would have ended? Israel has the right to self-defense, although apparently some manage to evade this truth.

ethnic cleansing isn't self-defense.

Destroying 4,000 homes isn't self-defense.

Murdering a kid with a piece of bread isn't self-defense.

Murdering peace activists isn't self-defense.

Terrorist military operations on refugee camps isn't self-defense.

Get the picture?

4. this isn't ethnic cleansing.
The homes were destroyed in self-defense. The homeowners were harboring terrorist and some homes contained ingress/egress of tunnels into Israel.

The child wasn't murdered, as was explained to you in detail in another thread.

The non-violent Palestinian partisans were not murdered.

The refugee camps were harboring terrorists.

6. All these homes are destroyed in self-defense?
You're not serious are you? I hope not. Destroying people's homes is not self-defense, and is an act to be deplored, not defended.

The child was murdered. He was holding a piece of bread and the IDF soldier gunned him down in cold blood.

And how many peace activists does the Israel military have to murder before you start to ask yourself "wow these can't all be accidents" -- remember that journalists and other internationals have been murdered too. That's what the IDF does - murder who they want to get out of their way.

So now we have justification to do go on killing sprees in refugee camps under the premise of "harboring terrorists" - no matter how much murdering the IDF engages in to satisfy their bloodlust, someone can always pop in and go "oh its ok the refugee camps 'harbor terrorists' "

7. There haven't been any "peace activists" and if you mean ...
the non-violent Palestinian partisans, they were not murdered.

That and the rest of your questions all were asked and answered.

9. "non-violent Palestinian partisans"
well ... at least that is a step up from "terrorist-supporting hate mongers" ... although there is a very troublesome pattern going on here, which is basically a denial of the brutal murders the Israeli army is out there doing.

We all know they are peace activists, so let's at least face that issue honestly. If you want to deny that the Israeli military murdered them, well that is in a way understandable, but to pretend like they're not peace activists just because you are going through this denial is really pretty sad.

Is it really that hard to admit that the IDF is no better than Hamas, and murders innocent people just as carelessly, like they did to the ISM peace activists?

5. Anyone making the "self defense" argument in this case
should be embarrassed. It's a fucking disgrace, both these actions and the pathetic defense of them. This is why Israel is in such low standing right now.And we wonder why anti-semitism is on the rise.Gee,I can't figure it out :eyes:

8. No-one making the "self-defense" argument in this case ...
should be embarrassed, because that is what it is... self-defense. It's not a fucking disgrace, neither these actions nor defending them. Perhaps Israel is in low standing right now in Europe and other nations of the middle east, but it isn't in low standing here. We know why anti-Semitism is on the rise and it isn't because of Israel's actions. There, are your answers, since you claim you can't figure it out.

14. So anti-semitism just goes in cycles
ebbing and flowing with no regard to any actions taken by Israel?

Please tell me you dont honestly believe that.
