Israeli commander urges West Bank roadblock rethink
http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s1030951.htm

<snip>

"The general who heads Israel's "civil administration" in the West Bank has called for a major rethink on the scores of army roadblocks that impede Palestinian movement across the territory.

"The attitude of the soldiers who man the roadblocks must be completely changed and some must be removed," General Ilan Paz said in an interview with Israel's top-selling daily Yediot Aharonot.

"We have already lifted many of them but there is yet more that can be done," General Paz said, criticising the Shin Beth domestic intelligence service for taking an overly cautious position that viewed the Palestinians "through confrontational blinkers".

1. Lifted roadblocks
Like allowing more workers in usually results in a major terror attack. Yet, Israel keeps trying to show the Palestinians a way to live peacefully and hoping that they will begin to get the message. Maybe most of them do. That's why Israel has to build the fence and continually check papers of workers and check all buses and shopping malls for terrorists carrying bombs.

2. Not all agree with you
The group "Rabbis for Human Rights" is proof that there are those in Israel and the US who truly believe that the commandment "THou shall not Kill" is directed toward everyone.

3. I agree with the Rabbis
But that includes the Palestinians who should stop terrorists from attacking anyone.
