"Six Israel Defense Forces soldiers were indicted by a Jaffa military tribunal Thursday for taking bribes from Palestinians wanting to pass the Qalandiyah crossing between the West Bank city of Ramallah and Jerusalem, Israel Radio reported.
The soldiers, five men and one woman, are accused of threatening Palestinians who wanted to pass through the roadblock without payment, according to the report. They are suspected of taking about NIS 50 per passage as well as confiscating cellular phones, telephone cards, compact disc players, cigarette cartons, soft drinks and food products."

"The company's soldiers were interrogated and a number of them admitted to the allegations against them.
According to sources in the Israel Defense Forces Central Command, there were instances where the company's soldiers treated Palestinians passing through the crossing in a violent manner. There were also cases where soldiers unnecessarily delayed people passing through the crossing, shouted at them and harassed them."
