Israel to step up targeted killings of Palestinian militants
Palestinian militants say a suicide bombing yesterday signals an escalation of their attacks on Israel. And Israel is promising more targeted killings of militants -- including their leaders.

Two teen-age boys armed with high-grade explosives killed ten Israelis yesterday, evading heavy security to set off their bombs at a seaport across the border from Gaza. It was the first such attack on a strategic target inside Israel since the latest round of hostilities began in 2000.

A Palestinian militant leader tells The Associated Press that Palestinians won't be stopped by Israel's walls and fences. He says they want to destroy Israel's infrastructure the same way he says Israel has destroyed theirs.

Wonderful news. We wish the IDF safety and success in their quest for a harvest of militants and killers.

6. "More targeted" would indeed be an improvement
Edited on Mon Mar-15-04 05:18 PM by JCCyC
As opposed to firing missiles into residences and cars and killing lots of children along with the intended target.

By the way... life not so easy in LBN, huh?

Edit: wrong forum.

8. How many times have we seen this movie before?
Unless Arafat and Yassin are killed, this will be as much of a failure as past missions. Israel needs to have an all-out War on Terrorism, with no restrictions from Washington. The US restricts Israel for PR reasons but this conflict is already a PR disaster. Suffering short-term PR damage and ending Palestinian terrorism, a prerequisite for peace, is a better long-term strategy than the current US strategy of perpetual controlled bleeding.

why do you think that no one will replace them?
