"“There exists in the public an atmosphere that legitimizes harming Israeli-Arab MKs”, Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin warned on Tuesday.

In a discussion with all heads of the parliament’s factions, Rivlin called on all MKs to refrain from voicing words that could be interpreted as incitement towards their Arab colleagues and legitimize harming them.

In addition, Rivlin revealed in the meeting that the Haifa Jewish underground also planned to assassinate the Chairman of the Hadash faction, MK Mohammad Barakeh.
