More US Lawmakers Visiting Israel This Summer Than Ever Before
http://www.cnsnews.com/ForeignBureaus/archive/200308/FOR20030818c.html

"More members of the U.S. Congress are visiting Israel this summer than ever have before, said a spokesman for one of the groups organizing the lawmakers' tours.

During the month of August alone, more than 10 percent of the members of the U.S. House of Representatives will have visited here, said David Kreizelman, a foreign policy associate in Jerusalem of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

AIPAC is associated with the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF), which sponsors fact-finding trips for many members of Congress.

Senators and representatives often take advantage of the summer recess to visit Israel, but "this year is especially big," said Kreizelman.

"It's a good way for them to get a handle on the issues," Kreizelman told CNSNews.com. They're not only meeting with leaders, but economists the military situation really have a feel for what they're dealing with," he added.

Currently, a bi-partisan delegation of lawmakers, led by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), is visiting Israel. The delegation includes Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), John Sununu (R-N.H.), Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-Tex.), and Reps. Harold Ford (D-Tenn.) and Jim Kolbe (R-Ariz.).

A delegation of New York Democrats, including Reps. Eliot Engel, Gregory Meeks and Anthony Weiner is also visiting Israel this week.

Neither delegation came through AIEF, but two weeks ago, 29 Democratic lawmakers visited Israel for a one-week fact-finding tour. It was the largest group ever to visit at one time."

Wonderful news! An unwavering alliance for America and Israel sends a powerful message to terrorist organizations in the Middle East.

2. Further evidence of AIPAC's stranglehold
over the U.S. Congress when it comes to the middle east.

Plus, unknown fact revealed: Every member of Congress who went on the junket returned with a brown nose.

3. Where's the allegiance to the American Tax Paying People?

But McCain said "there should be no linkage of
the route" to some US$9 billion in loan
guarantees. He said he was "confident that the
exact route of the fence can be agreed upon...
but the final decision will be made by Israel,
which is supported by most of Congress."

Comprising fences, walls, trenches and razor
wire, the barrier is criticized by Palestinians
as a new restriction on their lives and an
Israeli attempt to grab land. The barrier is
about one-fourth completed, and Israelis are
continuing discussions on the final route.

The U.S. delegation also included Sens. Lindsey
Graham, a South Carolina Republican; Maria
Cantwell, a Washington state Democrat; John
Sununu, a New Hampshire Republican; and Kay
Bailey Hutchinson, a Texas Republican; and U.S.
Rep. Harold Ford, a Tennessee Democrat.

<snip>

McCain said Israel is "going the extra mile" by
agreeing to had over two West Bank towns to
Palestinian control this week. But some
Palestinians say the troop pullback is
meaningless so long as Israeli military
roadblocks remain.

And yeah you're right. "Congress Expesses Solidarity With Israel"
Wish they'd stop expressing so much solidarity with a FOREIGN POWER and a little more solidarity with the American People!

Congress Expresses Solidarity with Israel
(May 2, 2002)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By overwhelming votes of 94- in the Senate and 352-21 in the House, members of Congress expressed their solidarity with Israel in its fight against terrorism. The resolutions and votes are below.

4. how can you talk about allegiance
to American taxpayers when you are the queen of big spending ideas? Kucinch's universal health insurance plan would rid us of the ability to choose what health provider we want.

10. then you're ridding me of my choice
one of the tenets of universal health care is the government using force to make private health care companies shut down. :puke:

12. That's utter bullshit...
Why don't you at least do a bit of basic research on how universal health care works in other nations before trying to talk about what it does and doesn't do?

btw, nice to see that yr priorities are with big business and not with the 44 millions Americans who can't afford health care. I think a great way for folk like you to keep yr 'choice' would be to introduce universal health care and insist that anyone who's sooooo concerned about insurance companies surviving and prospering get a choice to either keep on getting their precious private insurance or use the same universal health care cover that everyone else would...

Health care is a right, not a privilege...

Violet...

13. Completely agreed, Violet...
Universal Health Care is among the top reasons why I support Dennis Kucinich. I think the number of Americans without health care is 41 million, not 44, but in our economy, it could well have changed since I read that statistic.

It is not a right. Read OUR Constitution. But, you don't live in America, so I don't expect you to know that.

14. Do you favor the abolition of Medicare? OT
If not, why? It costs alot to treat all those old folks. Screw 'em!
Let the seniors come up with $500 a month for their own private health insurance. Then they will finally be free of a big-spending government pprogram and be able to chose the health "care" provider they want.

That is not all Judaism is but do not mistake yourself that people do not make their living off Judaism as Catholicism or Satanism.

Don't fool yourself.
