BBC News just reported Israeli settlement fired on Palestinians
Edited on Thu Feb-10-05 06:17 PM by MsMagnificent
because 'they THOUGHT that there was GOING to be an attack'

I don't care if the US did it -- preemptive attacks ARE STILL WRONG

At least one Palestinian is dead.

Palestinians also fired on Israeli's in a separate incident.

VERY poor start to the Palestinian/Israeli promises of peace and cooperation :(

I hope it works

Always wondered... does anyone think the non-violent protests, such as Gandhi and ML King used to miraculous effect, would/would have worked for the Palestinians?

1. 5,4,3,2,1
countdown to how long this stays in GD before being shoved outta sight in the Israeli/Palestine dungeon.

the Israeli/Palestine "peace" deal is doomed so long as the settlements keep incresing and the fence keeps carving more and more of the OT out for the exclusive use of Israel

3. ...and Hizbollah keeps instigating both sides...
http://www.metronews.ca/reuters_international.asp?id=55457

"...senior aide to Abbas accused militants of trying to sabotage the summit's reciprocal truce declarations at the urging of Lebanese Shi'ite Muslim movement Hizbollah.

"We know Hizbollah is paying parties in Palestine and instructing them to ... destroy the Sharm el-Sheikh accords. This is why some groups fired mortars today. We ask Israel to be aware of this situation and not react to such attacks," he said.

Hizbollah and Palestinian militants have denied operational links. Israel accuses Hizbollah of orchestrating many attacks."

2. Well
It's not like they stood together and announced the cease fire, and no one signed any documents, so it's not really binding on the people.
