'Israel will eventually disappear'
Edited on Tue Jul-12-05 06:34 AM by eyl
By Dian Bahur-Nir and Ali Waked

Hamas will not compromise on one inch of Greater Palestine, Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar told an Italian newspaper earlier this week.

Speaking to the Corriere Della Sera newspaper, al-Zahar said Hamas would "definitely not" be prepared for coexistence with Israel should the IDF retreat to its 1967 borders.

"It can be a temporary solution, for a maximum of 5 to 10 years. But in the end Palestine must return to become Muslim, and in the long term Israel will disappear from the face of the earth."

8. What decision was that?
1. The decision by Hitler to commence the Holocaust?
2. The decision by the Allies to close their ports and NOT grant asylum to the fleeing Jews?
3. The decision by the Allies not to bomb the concentration camps and the rail lines?
4. The decision of the UK to leave Palestine?

Please elucidate.

7. As long as Hamas thinks that way
we have the very real possibility of "compressing the electrons" off of alloyed -lithium-tritium and "fusing" the tritium atoms into helium atoms -- not a pleasant thought.

9. Exactly why Hamas must be eliminated
Can't expect Israel to make peace with something that allows militants who want to destroy Israel to go about business freely, it's unexceptable.

10. And yet.
When some of us raise our voices about the danger of this group we are shouted down. We are told they have a "legitimate' role in negotiations. They are terrorists. They also hurt the Palestinian people, almost as much as the hurt the Jews.

Horrific 10 years in the future: They occupy Israel. Will we see the same level of outrage? I doubt it. There are many who share the opinion of Hamas, and not all of them are terrorists, or even neo-Nazis.

Unfortunately, the Jews who support the right-wing government here need a wake up call. This government (US) does not really care for Israel, or Jews, in my opinion. Even the Fundies don't care...all they care about is Jews having control of Jerusalem, as for the rest of Israel, they have no "use" for it.

12. Which is why unilateral disengagement is the only sensible policy.
The major problem is not that Sharon is building a wall--it's that the boundaries of the wall support a land grab.

Israelis on one side, Pals on the other. That's the only hope for peace in the area.
