I just watched 9/11: Toxic Legacy
on The Discovery Times Channel.

Those who worked at ground zero after 9/11 have been screwed.

Do our supposed "leaders" have ANY conscience?

If they can discount those who were there in one of our greatest times of need, how do you think they feel about the rest of "us?"

Do you think they care?

The official 9/11 is a lie...we are nothing but livestock.

Banish me to the dungeon..I don't care. The word needs to be spread.

On edit: If you haven't seen the documentary...you should. It is on again Saturday 9/9 at 4 pm. Set your TiVO and be prepared to be pissed.

Also, I re-posted this from GD because NO one there seemed to give a shit. Thank You.

1. Is it about the EPA and how they manipulated the asbestos sensors?

2. It is about the complete disreagrd
for the cleanup workers immediately following 9/11 and how sick (and dead) most of them have become.

They were told THE AIR WAS SAFE!

Now, I admit anyone with any sense would have worn a mask down there, but a paper mask was not enough. These people are sick and being ignored.

Its a fucking outrage.

White House edited EPA's 9/11 reports

By JOHN HEILPRIN
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON -- At the White House's direction, the Environmental Protection Agency gave New Yorkers misleading assurances that there was no health risk from the debris-laden air after the World Trade Center collapse, according to an internal inquiry.

President Bush's senior environmental adviser yesterday defended the White House involvement, saying it was justified by national security.

The White House "convinced EPA to add reassuring statements and delete cautionary ones" by having the National Security Council control EPA communications after the Sept. 11 terror attacks, according to a report issued late Thursday by EPA Inspector General Nikki Tinsley.

"When EPA made a Sept. 18 announcement that the air was 'safe' to breathe, the agency did not have sufficient data and analyses to make the statement," the report says, adding that the EPA had yet to adequately monitor air quality for contaminants such as PCBs, soot and dioxin.

4. Anderson Cooper did something on this last night
(He did a pretty good job, mostly about how the government is stalling, saying it will take "long term" studies to decide if there were health hazards. They had a doctor on who said it takes more than 5 years for cancer to develop after being exposed to a carcinogin (sp) and that most the police/fire/and construction workers who are sick now were probably exposed to other toxic substances years ago. Cooper did point out that that doesn't explain why Red Cross and other volunteer workers are also getting sick. And he did show one of the cops saying that he doesn't have 20 years to find out what caused his illness.

No mention was made of the rescue dogs who worked the site - I know I heard once that several had died of cancers. As dogs metabolize things faster than we do, it would make sense to track down every animal that worked the site. After all, they use animals for medical testing all the time, why wouldn't the health of these animals make a valid study?
