"Road to 911" may air, but "Loose Change" is coming

It's safe to say that, if it were a theatrical release, Loose Change would be one of the most popular—and incendiary—movies in the country right now. Avery and Rowe say they are talking to several major movie studios about releasing a third and "final cut" of the film on September 11, 2006. They wonder if the government may be watching, too. "I hope so," says Avery.

I just wish to hell they would release it straight to DVD. I'm still on dial up and have been dying to see 'Loose Change' and havent been able to as yet.

You can see all three versions on Google Video. It's very compelling. I still think a Boeing 757 did strike the Pentagon. There are too many credible witnesses who say they saw it. I DO NOT think it was brought in to the target by an amateur pilot, however. The 757 can be flown remotely, and flight guidance can be loaded onto it's flight computers from the ground, or from another aircraft. If the plane can take off and land by itself, it can hit a target.

Having just read Nancy Gregg's excellent journal entry on the awesome abilities of DUers, let's just say that we, collectively, put the boys who produced the loose change piece of crap to shame, as they have done zero research, zero fact-checking, and are sadly lacking in all other departments except for, perhaps, putting some snappy music to the results of their googling to produce this poor excuse of a video.

22. The live footage in Loose Change (which most of it is) is more than worth

the price of admission.

The Hunter S. Thompson interview is awesome. The live TV news reports are eyeopening. The eyewitness footage of the firemen saying what went down is compelling. The shots of the towers coming down are mesmerizing.

And as you point out, the original sound track is very good.

While I haven't visited all 6 of the web sites you list, I have visited 3 of them. And all three share a common agenda of protecting and promoting the "Official Conspiracy Theory." (OCT) None spend anytime at all on the obvious fallacies, omissions, and lies promoted by the 9/11 Commission report. They sure aren't fair and balanced, if you get my drift.....

35. I just watched "Loose Change 2nd Ed" and it was terribly disappointing

Just thinking about it half-critically makes me feel like I wasted an hour and a half. There was just so much conjecture and bullshit made up to fit their own story of what was going on. Not everything in the official 9/11 story makes sense to me, but most of it makes a lot more sense than the crap in "Loose Change."

Yes, if it ever airs on nationwide TV, Dylan et al will likely spend their entire lives, and profits, in court fighting copyright infringement for all of the footage they ripped, and for the song robbing (the deep piano in the beginning sound familiar - Kill Bill Vol 2 paid for the rights to use it. It originally belongs to the "Navajo Joe" sound track from the 1960's). Come to think of it, A theatrical release will probably garnish them with considerable law suits for the same reasons...so, oh well, carry on.

And don't quote me "fair Use" as they still have to pay for the right to use it, not to mention most of their usage would not qualify.

no, but hey, the rule in here is you don't need to be an expert to make statements of fact right...so what difference does it make.

Beyond my sarcasm though, based on my limited knowledge of copyright laws as they apply to documentaries and the use and misuse of the "Fair Use" clause, I would say that if they did not acquire "usage" rights from the respective news companies/affiliates, that there is a very distinct chance they would be guilty of multiple violations of copyright law, particularly where (a) they are about to broadcast it on major stations in europe, and (b) they are making money off of the sales of their DVDs.

In particular, I think the composer of, and the company that owns the rights to "Sillouette of Doom" from the "Navajo Joe" soundtrack would be very upset if he/they heard from someone that there were people out there making money using his/their copyrighted music without paying for the right to do so...don't you think.

But I am sure that Dylan, Korey, and Jason have all that sewn up by now. I mean I am sure they have had their attourneys get all the papers in order. I am sure someone gave them the money to pay for the rights. I am sure they filed proper tax forms indicating the profit they made off all their DVD sales of "Loose Change". If they were really smart, they would bury any money made into company expenses.
