In footage of the WTC attacks, there was a high alttude plane visible when one of the planes hit. What was the white plane- was it tracking the planes that hit the WTC? Some accounds suggest it was just a plane that haappned to be on its normal flight path..

3. Given the apparent length of the smoke trail already... |
|
...that plane doesn't qualify for being anywhere near when the first plane hit.

Newark International Airport is about 3 or 4 miles to the West of the WTC's?

5. Well, per Google Earth the North South Runway is 6.5 miles |
|
due West. The East/West runway is a few miles South of the WTC. JFK is not too terribly far to the North East as well.
The bottom line is the airspace around the WTC was full of air traffic.
