At at about 13:15 into the film, a voice-over of a live newscaster states "..Building 7, ablaze at the moment, and apparently getting ready to collapse..."

Does anyone know how that newscaster knew that Building 7 was getting ready to collapse?

Were there reports throughout the day that Building 7 was actually going to collapse? I know they pulled out all the firefighters at some point, but were they actually reporting that a collapse was imminent, due to fire damage?

I thought the collpase was unexpected? I'm sure I'm just mis-remembering something here.

I would say yes.

In New York, the local station NY1 was reporting (in addition to all the national news) that several buildings in the area were damaged, were shifting and making noise (not the technical terms, I know) and were in danger of collapsing. Various city officials were worried they might fall and were pulling rescue workers out, then when it seemed safe, sending them back in.

I remember hearing stuff like that all afternoon. They kept going back for live reports thinking a building might collapse. I can't be sure, but one of the buildings they were talking about was probably WTC 7.
