Expert from Finland's view of WTC demolition
I often wondered twhere I saw those plumes before

1) The concrete pulverized into fine dust, 70…300 micron particles (just this could take more energy than the total gravitational energy available). See Gehue plates 6 and 7

2) Very energetic – hot – dust after the explosions. (Demolition charges would produce white clouds of dust, which would not move much, and a gravity-driven collapse would produce much less and more coarse dust.)

3) Brown shades of color seen in the air – these are produced by nuclear reactions of a thermonuclear device. The reactions use (gamma radiation caused by free neutrons, N2, O2, H2O > nitrid acid, NO2, NO3). These clouds soon get their usual white color after some minutes as the heat and fast movement of the clouds cease becoming ordinary clouds with some water

2. Are you claiming that...
a thermonuclear device detonated at the WTC?

3. Why not.
No more silly than the other theories thrown around. Has about as much to prove it as do the CD people. I'd say lets take a look at it...lol

4. Hmmmm....interesting but I'm still going with
hamsters. Deadly mutant steel-eating hamsters.

5. Thanks, you know the 9-11 pictures DO NOT look like
a building that has been lost to fire even if the plane contributed somewhat to it's destruction. There is no similarity between the wtcs and buildings that have fallen or NOT fallen to fire. There has to be an explanation, also, for the fine particles and the lack of any objects smaller than, what did that fireman say ? A telephone or something? The end result did not fit the alleged events and the Bush science explanations don't explain the upward and outward movement and the fine particles. Interesting articles, smfd

we get a real explanation and not a cover up

11. "the plane"? Read this & see if you can refute it. Bet you can't.

6. Professor Jones weighs in on the subject of "mini-nukes".
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 12:21 AM by Make7
Could mini-nukes have been used on the Towers?
  •  Hypothesis was raised by someone -> we collect experimental evidence to find out! (Scientific method)
  •  Nuclear weapons release radioactive ash -- and copious amounts of neutrons which will activate steel and other materials. This is called neutron activation.
  •  We tested dust samples and a solidified metal sample for radioactivity: we found ZERO RADIOACTIVITY. This over-rules the mini-nukes hypothesis.
  •  Note that concrete pulverization is often achieved in controlled demolitions with chemical explosives, e.g., the Seattle Kingdome demolition; mini-nukes are not needed for pulverization!

Tritiated water: Traces only, provides further strong evidence AGAINST mini-nuke hypothesis
  • "Traces of tritiated water (HTO) were detected at the World Trade Center (WTC) ground zero after the 9/11/01 terrorist attack. A water sample from the WTC sewer, collected on 9/13/01, contained 0.164±0.074 (2 () nCi/L of HTO. A split water sample, collected on 9/21/01 from the basement of WTC Building 6, contained 3.53±0.17 and 2.83±0.15 nCi/L, respectively. These results are well below the levels of concern to human exposure..."
    http://www.llnl.gov/tid/lof/documents/pdf/241096.pdf

  • Tritium from a thermonuclear bomb would be way above these trace levels! Hydrogen bombs use tritium as part of the "fuel."

  • Report found that tritium radioluminescent (RL) devices were probable sources of the trace amounts of tritium found at ground zero (not just tritium from the exit signs of the jet planes).

Mere trace amounts of Iodine-131 found in Hudson River sediments
  •   "Sediment cores pulled from the Hudson River near the World Trade Center site just a month after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks contain a thin layer of metal-rich ash and pulverized debris. The top 3 cm of silt contained layers with unnaturally high concentrations of copper, strontium, and zinc from the towers, says Sarah D. Oktay, a geochemist...
Oktay and her colleagues also found that the sediments contain small but measurable quantities of iodine-131, a human-made radioactive isotope with a half-life of about 8 days. Total iodine concentrations were actually lower in the debris-filled layers,
which means the source of the element probably isn't related to the attacks. Also, the iodine probably didn't leak from nuclear power plants upstream because other telltale radioactive isotopes didn't turn up.
Instead, says Oktay, the iodine-which is used in various medical treatments and sometimes carried home internally by patients-probably entered the river through local sewage systems. The researchers report their findings in the Jan. 21 Eos."

  • So, Iodine concentrations were LESS in the upper debris layers associated with the WTC dust. And Iodine-131 was only found in very low-level trace amounts anyway. These data provide further evidence against the "mini-nuke-caused-WTC-destruction" hypothesis.

  • Science News, Volume 163, No. 7, February 15, 2003, p. 109.
  • Oktay, S.D., et al. 2003. WTC geochemical fingerprint recorded in New York harbor sediments. Eos 84(Jan. 21):21-28.

  •  Finally, people themselves become "detectors" for the radiations associated with nuclear bombs.
  •  Nuclear bombs produce copious x-rays, gamma-rays and fast neutrons, which are fatal at close range and cause radiation sickness at greater distances.
  •  NO such immediate fatalities or radiation sicknesses were reported.
  •  Thus, the physical evidence is overwhelmingly against the theory that "mini-nukes were used at WTC".
