Poll question: Do we need a new 9/11 investigation?
There is a recent increase in the media of voices discrediting conspiracy theories. Is this a strawman?
Do many people believe in conspiracy theories regarding the attack on 9/11 or do they just want more answers? I think the latter, but I'd like to see the results of a poll from this forum. Feel free to expand on the choices in your post.

1. While I voted for a new investigation ...
I am also certain that it will never happen. If any of the CTs are correct, then both parties are complicit in the plot or the cover up - regardless of who is in power, a fuller investigation will not be allowed to happen.

2. What does "believe in conspiracy theories" mean? Are you using the term
"conspiracy theory" the way EVERY law enforcement agency in the entire 50 states and federal jurisdictions use it? THEY not only "believe" conspiracies happen, they try to put people in prison for very long terms by convicting them of engaging in one kind of conspiracy or another. Day in and day out.
Conspiracy charges are almost as common as OCTists on the DU 9/11 forum, and that's saying a lot. Honestly, don't any of you OCTists ever read a newspaper? Or, are you too busy cramming for that logic quiz that can make or break a young, former college debate team member's career?

4. In this case "believe in conspiracy theories"
would mean do you support any of the specific theories such as a missile hitting the Pentagon, controlled demolition of WTC buildings, or no plane crash in Pennsylvania.

3. Won't do much good. The crazies are already convinced.
I have even seen a thread here on DU that blamed it on Mossad operatives. There is simply no way to convince the CT crazies.
