When (or if) 9/11
is finally exposed as a well crafted set-up, will any truth seekers here gloat? Would it be bad to?

I know I would have a desire to do so, but I would probably refrain from taking that path. Only because it would sap energy from the task that I would perceive as the logical next step: a (hopefully) consorted push for the re-accumulation of lost rights and liberties that had been lost under the dark clouds of this time in history.

Just a question.

1. Are you familiar with the song "Long and Winding Road"? That's what

lies ahead once the 9/11 lies are laid out for the public's consideration. Things will have to get a lot worse before any kind of turnaround begins, in my opinion. I'm not even sure it will be possible for such a thing to happen in our present day world. I think the best chance of it will come on a local, city-by-city, state-by-state basis. National politicians are all the same when it comes to doing the bidding of their corporate masters. Look at the OCT'ers here. They all, to a username, claim to be progressive Democrats!

2. I don't know to what degree, but yeah...probably a little
For 6 years I have been telling anyone who will listen that we are getting screwed by this administration and as time goes on I am shown to be right time and time again. When georgie first ran I told people that if they are going to vote for him they will be setting themselves up for some pretty shitty times ahead.

20 minutes after that first plane hit I was telling people that there is more to this than Bin Laden and his people flying planes into buildings and I was looked at like I was a nutcase. I told everyone that Bin Laden will never be captured because the administration knows better and people got pissed at me for saying that.

When WMDs became an issue with Iraq I was also telling everyone I knew they were being lied to and this was all part of the plan anyway, then I was told that I was wrong and they will find the WMDs in Iraq. It hasn't happened.

It has been a very frustrating 6 years and it is still going on. If 9-11 is ever exposed, damn straight I will gloat, but not a whole lot. I just wish people weren't so easily led.

3. You won't have time to gloat -- you'll be hiding in your basement
I've been thinking about this a lot for some reason lately, maybe because the mainstream media seems to be hinting at it.

Frankly, if MIHOP or LIHOP were generally accepted and disseminated by the media, there will be open rebellion in the streets. These people, however, won't just be peaceful lefties, but the nut job, gun loving, black helicopter crowds from the Pacific northwest, Iowa, etc. There will be family members of victims prepared to tear down the Pentagon or CIA (or whatever agencies were involved) with their fingernails. I would expect hundreds of thousands to march on Washington and the Bush administration would probably declare martial law. The stock market will certainly crash simply on the uncertainty and there will be a resulting wave of bankruptcies throughout the country.

I would like to think that Americans would organize a peaceful removal -- a combination of Watergate and the Phillipines "people's power" removal of Marcos, but Americans are just more violent and bizarre that the people of other countries.

It will be a very, very ugly time and I don't think gloating in DU's dungeon is going to be a high priority -- survival will be. Frankly, I don't think the media, even if the case is proven to them, will risk the possible outcomes by telling the truth, even if it becomes obvious.

4. The ultimate hang-out will be an admission by Bushco that the 9/11

Commission just got it wrong, despite giving their best effort, and apparently those wild-eyed cavemen fooled even the sophisticates on the Commission. Bush will go on TV vowing to "clean house" and demand that Congress and the military conduct hearings into just how the military could have botched the exercises on 9/11 to the extent that THEY themseleves actually set off explosives in the WTC and were tricked into thinking AA FL 77 had crashed into the Pentagon, when in reality, as part of the exercises, some soldiers set off explosives in the reinforced section of the building because that was the designated area where the hypothetical plane crash was supposed to take place in the exercises.

The perps will never admit responsibility and the media perps won't either, so who will tell the people? It sure won't be easy. What the people will hear is confusion, distortion and claims of coincidence from an even larger group of OCT'ers. Who knows how many are currently being trained right now for just such a purpose ("tomorrow, we'll cover how to sound smart and credible while using logical fallacies, worded to sound reasonable").

I'm sorry to say I believe the perps will continue to be the victors of the 9/11 self-attacks.

5. good point
a crafty set-up which in the end would only damage us even worse - as then the "powers that be" could impose almost any law they wanted to under the guise of a national emergency. Then the big boys move in to reshuffle our laws to coincide with a global ideal.

These ideas, to me, exist today in the realm of very probable.

7. Could be. But how would we know?
Here's the problem I see: 100,000 Jersey girls could march on DC or Albany and nobody would hear about it. The New York Times wouldn't say a word, CNN wouldn't either, WaPo would fall strangely silent, etc.

The media are in this up to their eyeballs (specifically, their top execs, who had foreknowledge and have profited in all kinds of direct and indirect ways from 9/11, most of them disgusting) and they're simply not going to report any assaults on the golden goose.

8. I did a joke post about this...
"What if Cheney confesses to doing 9/11"
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=125x119318

Which a lot of people for some reason took as straight, in which I project what OCTists and others might say to cover themselves.

But seriously? I don't think the present government would survive such a revelation, and the reaction would be closer to People Power than to civil warfare. However, it very much depends on what gets revealed and who believes what. I think even a minor admission could set off a chain reaction bringing out the rest (and no, the media could not ignore it), but then, time is a bitch, it changes the focus, and who knows how it will play. Ten years after Gary Webb's articles, even the LA Times is running editorials blasting how LAT and others covered up and assassinated the man's rep, but has this led to full exposure? Trials of the CIA officials who sponsored drug-dealing assets? An end to such operations? Or even more oversight? Ha.

9. That consorted push for the re-accumulation of lost rights and liberties

you mentioned will be just as or even more difficult. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the "leading" cheerleaders for the OCT return for an encore performance.
