ALERT: Important HBO Documentary on Daniel Pearl, Saeed Sheikh

For those of you who are interested in 9/11 issues concerning Atta's financing by the ISI, rather than physical evidence, HBO is going to air a documentary called, THE JOURNALIST AND THE JIHADI: THE MURDER OF DANIEL PEARL.

From the commercial I saw, it will trace the lives of Saeed Sheikh and Daniel Pearl.

Most surprisingly from the commercial, the documentary will assert that Daniel Pearl was murdered because he was tracing the financing of 9/11 back to Pakistan -- an assertion that I understand Pearl's widow has been reluctant to make.

I am posting this especially for Paul Thompson, because in another thread he mentioned that he was interested in a number of upcoming documentaries and I want to make sure he is aware of this one.

1. Amazing that the Bush regime

has never shown much interest in this case. You would think they would want to bring the killers to justice and get the terrorists who were behind this horrible act? I guess you have to be a US contractor in Iraq for them to give a shit.

2. I've been wondering about all the Musharrif / Bush posturing

that has been going on lately. Could the statements by Bush Musharrif and Armitage
be an attempt to distract and muddy the waters in terms of Pakistan's support
of Al Qaeda and CIA complicity? This topic seems to be seeping into the public consciousness,
perhaps these public statement are an attempt to counter or confuse these revelations?

3. Whoa

Are there some real journalists left? I'm surprised to see someone following up on this story. When does it air? Sadly, I don't get HBO. :( Thanks for the heads up. Where there any other anniversary specials that actually shed some new light on things? The only ones I know of worth watching are Triple Cross (for all its flaws) and the CBC's Secret History of 9/11. Am I missing any others? I don't actually own a TV at all so I miss a lot of stuff (but I'm watching those two at least cos they've been posted on the Internet).

7. The replays of the live broadcasts are definitely worthwhile

Especially for info for the timeline.

I didn't get to see much of it but what I saw was very interesting. It was amazing how much of the 'official' story was already 'known' on the first day and who they had on the air live for info and opinions.

One of the first people that CNN had on from the WTC for a live witness account just happened to be one of their producers. He supposedly was on his way somewhere and 'saw' the first plane coming in and hitting the tower. Within minutes they had him on the air giving his report.

4. What about Pearl being possibly alive 8 days after his death?

I am hoping the revelation below....... by Bernard Levi will get some exposure......but ain't holdin' my breath.......

I think also of another story ,strange and unexplained story:a plane ticket for Pakistan Airlines flight PK757,London to Islamabad,file number EEEFQH was purchased in the name of Daniel Pearl on Febuary 8th, 8 DAYS AFTER HIS DEATH,by someone who had to present his passport and a valid visa.

Apparently, it's been on general release since April and is narrated by Christiane Amanpour.
