BushInc is BANKRUPTING America to BANKROLL their New World Order.

Bush1 and Dick Cheney started privatizing the US military back in 1991. That privatization of logistics has led to tragedies like the USS Cole bombing, the gouging for basic needs for our soldiers, the loss of billions of our tax dollars in Iraq, and the breakdown of services at Walter Reed.

Now we hear that Halliburton is moving their HQ from Houston to Dubai. Once there, the global fascism will take hold firmer and stronger than at any other point we have witnessed in the past.

And the US will be left bankrupt and broken in too many areas to get it fixed in any expedient way.

No financial problems for the incredibly FLUSH global corporations who have been lining their pockets at our expense for the last twenty years, though.

Want to bet that Halliburton and Bechtel will have Blackwater and other private armies at their disposal while our military struggles to recoup?

We have GOT to stop Halliburton's move of all their documents and paperwork.

Contact Waxman and Congress about Halliburton. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x388886

We cannot let them get away with BANKRUPTING America while BANKROLLING New World Order.

Even the RW and the Freepers will have to notice this.

1. They outsource the gate security at the base I work near
and it's a joke. For one most of the guards wouldn't be able to move too swiftly in dealing with an emergency if you feel me and the slack they cut people going through is staggering. There are nights I could have rolled in with Osama himself hiding in my trunk and they would have gleefully ushered me to the nearest ammo dump.

2. As intended, imo. Break it all, then sell needed services back to the US taxpayers
Like the military, the schools, our needed resources.

4. Well, thanks for telling Osama how easy it is.
A little discretion please. When speaking about an entity that could be a possible target, speaking in generalities might be wise.

8. I should clarify
GOIT(pretty much any part of a sentence you require. n,v,adv,adj)-A generic term used when the speaker or writer can't think of what they wanted to say or have so many responses that to try to post them all would be needless folly. Used primarily in shadow's past when he and his friends were under influences too heavy to make consistent coherent thought possible.

that anyone 100 yards outside that base with a zoom video camera couldn't learn themselves. Kind of hoping someone with the power to do something will take note and fix it. I live 6 miles away which is a little close to any ground zero thanks but no.

13. Anyone who thinks all this is mere coincidence isn't worth the time of day.
In fact, I'd say they must be invested with the other side that wants all this kept under the radar.

21. Denial is pretty powerful, especially when you consider the daunting task of cleaning
them all out of our system.

I agree it's not worth the time arguing with the vocal (and repetitive) deniers about these issues. The facts are there for everyone to see, it's up to them whether they accept them or not. Not accepting them won't miraculously make them untrue.

I cheer up a bit when I consider that we don't need everybody on board before we reach a tipping point. Just enough, then the deniers will have to tip along with the rest of us, whether they "believe" or not.

5. The "government" has been insolvent for at least two years imo.
That's what "privatization" has done-it's also gone extremely RW, well beyond fascism.

7. Not only that I was catching up on my Hitler again this week and
it struck me that Hitler's Nazi party had their own private armies, even during the years of the Weimar Republic, which they used to intimidate the populace. Well our military has been used as BushCo's private army up until now, but it seems that it has become apparent to them that there are still those stubborn old military types from the old Constitutional democratic Republic of the USA that aren't cooperating, not to mention that Congress still thinks they have oversight over the Presidency and making war.

How much better would it be to privatize all things military so that the armed forces then could be loyal to the GOP under the Aegis of Bush and his sycophants. Congress would have no oversight and the armed forces would be loyal to the GOP as long as Halliburton and other corporations involved are. I know it's a bit of a stretch but it could be possible unless our Congress recognizes this and stops them.

17. heh....not at all. Just thought I'd bring it up again, for the 1000th time while
the Halliburton move to Dubai story is out there.

Whether we like it or not, there are just too many Dems, even here at DU, watching from the sidelines who have yet to put it all together because it would require the need to acknowledge inconvenient truths.

16. Dubai Ports controversy -- you have to farking wonder...
Edited on Sun Mar-11-07 03:44 PM by nashville_brook
what the hell the administration was thinking in promoting giving control of our PORTS over to the government of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, via a holding company -- which is under the direct control of the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the prime minister of the UAE.

from Wiki --
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai_Ports_World_controversy

On February 24, 2006, it was reported that there are 22 U.S. ports in the deal, not just the six major ports mentioned in initial news stories and reports. According to the website of P&O Ports, the port-operations subsidiary of P&O, DPW would take over stevedore services at 12 East Coast ports including Portland, Maine; Boston, Massachusetts; Davisville, Rhode Island; New York City; Newark, New Jersey; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Camden, New Jersey; Wilmington, Delaware; Baltimore, Maryland; and Virginia locations at Newport News, Norfolk, and Portsmouth.

Additionally, DPW will take over P&O stevedoring operations at nine ports along the Gulf of Mexico including the Texas ports of Beaumont, Port Arthur, Galveston, Houston, Freeport, and Corpus Christi, plus the Louisiana ports of Lake Charles and New Orleans.

On March 8, 2006 the House Panel voted 62–2 to block the deal, and senator Charles Schumer added amendments to a senate bill to block the deal, causing an uproar in the senate.

On March 9, 2006, Dubai Ports World released a statement saying they would turn over operation of U.S. ports to a U.S. "Entity". Later that same day, American Enterprise Institute scholar Norm Ornstein reported on PBS's "News Hour" that DP World was considering selling its U.S. operations to Halliburton.

19. That was supposed to be nothing but
another sweet money deal for Jeb and the rest of the Bush bastards.

There was a promise of huge money to be donated from Dubai for a civilian space flight operation they were going to base in Florida.

That was supposed to chuckles and grins for the crime family at Easter dinner at Jeb's house before it all blew up.

The ports was supposed to be Dubai's payola under the table.

37. This is gonna confuse the Freepers.
Here they were thinking they were fighting a "war on Islam" only find Halliburton's moving all their ill-gotten gains to an arab country.

The conclusion from this can only be one of two things:

1) either the islamophobic hysteria and propaganda is bullshit and the RW base has been played or
2) Bush-Cheney are in cahoots with the terrorists

(or even worse...both are true!)

A definite :wtf: moment for freepers.
