'Single Plane' Theory

After its collision with the center of American military operations, the so-called "magic plane"—which variously and ingeniously identified itself to air-traffic controllers as "American Airlines Flight 11," "United Airlines Flight 175," "American Airlines Flight 77" and "United Airlines Flight 93"—took to the skies once again, landing at a top-secret "black-ops" Air Force base in West Virginia, where it was reloaded with a group of clones from another shadowy government program that Stone described as "shocking."

Early public reaction to the film has been skeptical. Many 9/11 conspiracy theorists claim Stone is presenting an exploitative, far-fetched, and manipulative Hollywood version of the pain and suffering—including eye strain and carpal tunnel syndrome—they have undergone during their countless hours on the Internet in the tragedy's aftermath.

Despite the controversy, Stone stands by his film. "This is a story that needs to be told, in a reality that only I can bring to the big screen," Stone said. "I realize it will be hard to accept for those unable to confront the truth, but I can't hide my head in the sand like some goddamn ostrich. To sin by silence when we should protest makes cowards out of men

3. Is that the plane which flew over the Pentagon?
FL 77 is the one that flew over the Pentagon and may have landed at Washington National airport. The only thing that's magic about that is the fact that some people are still trying to sell the notion that an airliner crashed into the Pentagon.

Most Official Conspiracy Theorists promote the contradictory ideas of bodies being cremated without their DNA having been destroyed.
Maybe those theorists know something about secret Pentagon technology that they haven't shared with the rest of us.

Is there any proof that FL 77 actually flew that day? Didn't some right-wing kook supposedly make phone calls from what was claimed to have been FL 77 and it was later pointed out that there are so many reasons why that couldn't have taken place that the Official Conspiracy Theorists have abandoned that little claim and now distance themselves from it.

Anyone who has heard tapes of or read the alleged transcripts of alleged cell phone calls made from airplanes on 9/11 knows they
couldn't possibly be anything but faked.

4. Good example
... of why it's impossible to satirize 9/11 CTs.

10. Do you find it funny to "satirize" people who've died?
I'm sure the families of all those who died on 9-11 got a real good laugh out of this...

12. that's an interesting reading
I get frosted when "alternative collapse theorists" make jokes about what they regard as the "official story" about the collapse mechanism -- like the "IHOP" stack of pancakes. I try to remind myself that these posters don't believe that they are satirizing actual events, but rather someone else's (presumably) crazy ideas about those events.

As for a single plane theory, until a few moments ago I would have said it was axiomatic that no one could consider it as a representation of actual events: clearly it satirizes Stone, not the real people on the four planes that crashed on 9/11. (Of course, not everyone thinks that four planes with real people crashed on 9/11.)

And so it goes.

14. Your poor reading comprehension is showing again
What I said was that it's impossible to satirize people such as poster #3, not "people who've died." Poster #9 seems to be the one who finds something funny about that.

Don't you ever get tired of making yourself look foolish?

19. You're the last person in the world who should be questioning someone's comprehension..
... but you already know that, right?

"Don't you ever get tired of making yourself look foolish?"

Project much?? If I want to read babbling from a bunch of nose picking know nothings I'll go back to reading the JREF forums.

Thanks,

Ghost

20. LOL, I wasn't "questioning" your reading comprehension
I was pointing out your frequent lack of it. Again. I guess everything sounds like "babbling" when you don't comprehend it, huh.

18. Thanks for the invitation, but ...
a discussion of "this issue" in which giving lies the same weight as truth is not my idea of an "entertaining evening".

11. actually, timing-wise this was possible
and I put out a theory similar to this a few years back.

http://covertoperations.blogspot.com/2006/03/putting-it-all-together-no-planes.html
Interestingly, the timing of the attacks were such that in theory ONE JET could have flown by the WTC north tower to mimic flight 11, then overflown Manhattan and turned around and came back to mimic flight 175, then this same jet could have hightailed it to Washington DC to fly over the Pentagon, then would still have had time to get to the Shanksville area to mimic flgiht 93. Researcher Woody Box has found that a Boeing 767 was "stolen" on 9/11, which could have been used for this purpose-- as well as to send radio transmissions from the "hijacked jets". Finally, this idea is supported by the fact that, as documented in the 9/11 commission report, air traffic controllers initially thought flight 11 continued flying after flying by Manhattan.

I see The Onion piece was actually from Aug 2006, mine was from Mar 2006.

The idea is that there could have been one fly-by plane to pose as the hijacked plane at each official plane hit location.

I'm not saying this happened, but it's an interesting idea.
