When did the recovery effort for Flight 93 passengers end?
Was everyone found the day of the crash? and the reason I'm asking these one or two questions is because there was a Funeral held for one of the passengers of Flight 93 so I need to know which day this happened and what was that guys name?

6. When I come here and see this kind of OP...
1. Remarkably offensive

2. Chock full of erroneous assumptions

3. Two messages spaced out over an hour in reply by the OP, wondering where everyone is because the OP isn't getting an answer RIGHT NOW

I just shake my head.

Dude, you could have found the answer to your question in the time it took for you to hang around here waiting for someone to answer your question. No one here is your mama or your research assistant, as far as I know. Go find your own answer if it concerns you so greatly.

17. He seems to be operating on the assumption....

...that there were large pieces of things, like "the cockpit" etc.

I don't quite understand the assumptions behind the questions, like the "bulk" of flight 93.

I won't bother you again when I get this story straightened out. Which month and day was Todd Beamer buried? and Do you have a link to the News station that covered his burial?

14. You don't bother me right now.
You will never get this story straightened out. You appear to be constitutionally unable to do so.

Your desired answers are out there on the Internet. Go, find, read, learn.

3. All remains were identified by Dec21, 2001
"All human remains were found within a 70 acre (28 ha) area surrounding the impact point. Somerset County Coroner Wally Miller was involved in the investigation and identification of the remains. As he walked through the wreckage, the only recognizable body part he saw was a piece of spinal cord with five vertebrae attached. Miller later found and identified 1,500 pieces of human remains totaling about 600 pounds (272 kg), or eight percent of the total. The rest of the remains were consumed by the impact. Investigators identified four victims by September 22 and eleven by September 24. They identified another by September 29. Thirty-four passengers were identified by October 27. All the people on board the flight were identified by December 21. "

Hope that helps....

4. Yes it Is
Many Appreciations for this information. :headbang:

I'm trying to figure the difference between "Acres of Plane Debris" and What I've come to know as the majority of the plane digging itself into the famous "Shanksville Hole" . I believe one has to cancel out the other.

That being said one of the Passengers I'm looking for would have broken into the cockpit by the time it crashed but was also one of the first to be identified and buried and again one has to cancel out the other.

9. The Plane Exploded

There is an impact crater, and debris scattered over a wide area.

The "remains" of passengers were fragmentary - little bits and pieces of people, which were identified largely by DNA testing.

You seem to believe that the order of recovery of fragmentary remains has some relation to the order in which the relatives had memorial services.

In order to identify a sample, one has to have a reference sample of that person's DNA, or DNA of their relatives. The next of kin of the victims were asked to round up things like toothbrushes, razors, etc. of the deceased in order to provide reference DNA samples. The process of coordinating that effort and conducting the testing, has more of an influence on what gets identified when, than the order in which any samples are recovered from the site.

Then, when fragmentary remains and identifiable effects are returned to the next of kin, the timing of a memorial service or internment of really what amounts to a handful of bits and pieces, is entirely up to the family and whatever customs or arrangements the family desires to make.

11. Yes, yes I know what I'm saying berry
but the plane was found scattered over a distance of 7 miles. That is a long way from the Shanksville hole where the bulk of the plane impacted then exploded. Is this normal for planes to crash, dig a hole, then scatter over 7 miles?

I'm looking for the cockpit pictures where the passengers were that fought back, it should have made that hole in the ground along with parts of the fueslage. I haven't seen it yet.

If the recovery team didn't find it then there just may be unclaimed passengers in the Shanksvlle Hole.

13. "I'm looking for the cockpit pictures where the passengers were that fought back"

I do not believe you appreciate what happens when something like that hits the ground at that sort of speed. You're not going to find any "cockpit pictures".

The fact that "debris" of any kind could be found some distance away does not mean what you seem to think it means - i.e. pieces of a plane v. lightweight remnants of its contents. Your "7 mile" figure, as I recall, is based on the driving distance to Indian Lake, and not the actual distance between the crash site and Indian Lake.

16. It is Remarkable, and the only reason Why I'm asking these Questions
The stories that I hear about vary from site to site and on Youtube. The information here is much more credible because this Forum is dedicated to the September 11, 2001 tragedy. so again

Did the Recovery Team go through the 'Shanksville Hole' debris with the Bulldozer and not find human remains?

When the Recovery Team searched the Outer Perimeter of the crash site which parts of Flight 93 traveled the furthest from the impact zone? (example , Wing, Fin, Fuselage, Engine) etc etc

How many pounds of each person did they find a piece? (example 5, 25, 55,) etc etc

Three men average 600lbs in all = 200lbs + 200lbs + 200lbs

or

Two very large women = 300lbs a piece

Can the Recovery Team actually claim that they found a piece of everyone?

Yes.

Each recovered fragment was DNA tested.

Ghost in the Machine posted information above, which you do not seem to understand, and in which it is noted that among largest pieces found was a segment of spinal cord with five vertebrae.

You are not going to find pictures of things like that on the internet, to satisfy whatever ghoulish interest is driving this line of inquiry.
