C.D. television series
Wasn't there a television series, before 2001, that dealt with controlled demolition? Maybe it was just a T.V. special. I remember that the ones placing the explosives (they were referred to as "experts") in the buildings were treated like scientists.

Since the attacks on Sep. 11 proved to the world that C.D. science is a fraud, it would be interesting to watch that show now, in a post Sep. 11 world.

Anyone remember something like this?

1. Huh?
> Since the attacks on Sep. 11 proved to the world that C.D. science is a fraud...

If there's a reason you think people should accept that premise, you seem to have skipped over it.

3. THREE buildings came down in ONE day.
All all as a result of a weakening in one concentrated area of the building. The end results of these concentrated weakenings were the same as buildings brought down by controlled demolitions.

CD industry employees have been working too hard!

7. Well, yeah, a pile of rubble would be the same result.
Any chance you might soon clearly state what you're getting at? Bonus points for giving some reason why anyone should agree with it.

8. Agreed.
I have been expressly explicit. If YOU see an innuendo here, a hidden implication, then YOU are the one who is having issues of ambivalence. Don't blame me.

You already agreed with me, so you can uncross your arms now. You can keep you bonus points though. It is not my mission to try to get some arrogant jerk to agree with me. I couldn't care any less.

10. Yeah, good strategy
It's easy to see why you wouldn't want to actually try to defend that obvious insinuation, and it appears that you have your personal expectations set at a properly low level, so good luck with your research.

9. CD experts bring the buildings down into their own foot print
so they don't damage other buildings. The two towers did not fall into their own foot print and damaged over a dozen buildings, so how does that jive with your statement that CD experts work too hard.

13. Then again.....
...if it were cd that brought down these buildings, and I were in charge of making that phase happen, my first priority would be to tell them "Don't make it look too professional". Sloppy cd on purpose is not out of the realm, and deflects from accusations it was professional cd. Just a thought. Thanks.

They came down "in their own footprints" - therefore it was CD

"Well, they didn't actually come down in their own footprints" - therefore it was CD

22. I saw
this Modern Marvels show over ten years ago so I don't remember exactly how they brought down the buildings or if they fell into their own footprints. The experts, picked by some nobody tv producer, brought multiple buildings down in different ways. The teams were supposed to get creative.

In 2001 three buildings were brought down by NON-experts with a new technique - new for this type of building - fire.

I didn't see the word "footprints", which you quoted, used in quickesst's post. I think what he was saying is that CD experts are capable of being creative and capable of choosing which route to go based on what they want the results to look like.

24. Yeah, because it is so easy to hire experts to blow up occupied buildings

Most demolition firms probably have a standard contract for that sort of thing.

30. why would experts be required?
Who would hire a firm for a criminal enterprise? You guys have no imagination or4 creativity IMO.
Could demolition specialists from blackwater/xe do it? I think so. Not saying they did just that they could. I would guess who ever may have done it was since killed.

to believe foreign hijackers with minimal resources can demolish three skyscrapers in one day for the first time ever but the people who had all the resources and the desire couldn't.

is one possibility. Just one episode.

You didn't see this one because you have to go to the drop-down menu and select "TV episodes".

11. From what I remember of the show
there was a team of experts assigned to each building. Each team had to bring the building down in some creative way. I wonder if any of the experts thought about dropping something onto the building, like some debris from another building, to collapse it. I bet that is something that nobody ever thought of before. And if it worked they probably would have gotten points for doing the impossible.

Anyone remember that episode of Modern Marvels?

Building 7 came down with very little resources.

21. In the op
I said controlled demolition experts were treated like scientists.

What I meant by 'prepped' is that explosives weren't strategically placed in the buildings beforehand.

20. Largest controlled demolition to date
was the http://www.controlled-demolition.com/jl-hudson-department-store">J.L. Hudson Dept. Store

Go there, read up on what all was used in this completely vacant, 2.2 million square foot building, and then give us your best guess as to the time and materials needed to "scientifically prep" WTC1, WTC2, and WTC7 while people worked in them daily.

I anxiously await your response.

26. The floors were connected to horizontal columns
attached to the core..... Putting explosive devices on the floors would seam useless to me since the floors really were just there. Looks to me like all the supports were in the center of the building while the offices were on the perimeter... That would hopefully be most peoples best guess IF "they" were going to rig it. Also I imagine the detonation system would be similar to a barometric type detonation system. We can clearly see a bunch of C4 and miles of wire wouldn't work. Kind of what Michael Riconosciuto was talking about in 95. Again thats a best guess scenario.

They were as important to the structural integrity of the building as the core and perimeter columns.

28. well that's what FEMA has asserted
the core was "free standing". I'm not sure if they mean the core columns were just 1/4 mile long steel columns with no horizontal support?
