Parachuting in for a quick question:
When did the 9/11 hijackers begin taking classes at domestic flight training schools? The more details the better. Also, throw whatever you have on just the hijackers' flight training. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

No-planers please restrain yourselves.

Hey, Subdivisions! That might be one of the funniest things ever here.

I hope things are going well for you and your small town is recovering well, buddy.

4. Thanks. I still need whatever links/resources anyone has on this aspect of 9/11.
Edited on Sun Feb-14-10 05:21 PM by Subdivisions
Since there are many experts on the topic of 9/11 in this forum, there's sure to be some useful information that is just too buried in Google results to find in a timely manner.

ETA: Meant this as a reply to Make7's post #2.

6. Well...
I googled it:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=9+11+hijackers+training&aq=f&aqi=&oq=

and it comes up with tons of links, many of them I have never heard of so I am unsure how accurate they are.

9. It's the ones you've heard of and are accurate that I want. I guess I just
thought that some of you might have some good stuff in your bookmarks and such.

Thanks OJ, I had already done the Google search before I came in here looking for more. I just thought maybe some of you had already waded through the results to find the good stuff and discard the crazy shit.

7. Hey, where ya been?
No links anymore, but there was a case of an FBI agent in Arizona that reported on a suspect taking flying lessons thereabouts. IIRC, he reported that the suspect wanted to learn how to fly but didn't care about taking off or landing.

His report never got past his HQ.

then there was the flight school down in Florida that was a known drug running airport where the guys were training. It was raided on 9/12 and Jeb Bush was there at the raid to oversee?

FBI agent Crowley had filed a report also.

All for now. Hang loose.

8. I've been around BeFree. Been over there in my normal hangout in GD.
I actually get a post on the Greatest Page, and even #1, every now and again over there. Here I just get deleted.

It's too dark, dank, and dirty down here in the Dungeon for my tastes, though an occasional quick visit is tolerable. And you have some unfortunate souls chained to the floor and walls who tend to lash out if you get too close. So, I try to stay up on open ground in the sunshine. Research brings me down here because, as dirty as it is and as crazy as some of the denizens here are, there's still some really good information and the guys chained to the walls and floor are inhumanly knowledgable in the study of 9/11.

Thanks for the info, BeFree. Haven't I seen you occasionally in GD?

11. I'm all over DU
Just come in here to divert the heat so that other posters can feel comfortable to speak their minds about 9/11. Y'know, be free.

I've been wonking on the event ever since I started seeing that what the media was telling me was just a small part of the story. DUers have been a great source of information over the years and I am proud to have been here since before 9/11 got moved to this dungeon.

"Let's go get those Bush bastards" is a near and dear old DU saying and the 9/11 forum is as good as any at getting them. One day, we will, and the truth shall be set free.

12. "Just come in here to divert the heat so that other posters can feel comfortable to speak their
minds about 9/11".

Jesus, dude. Are "truthers" intimidated by rigorous debate? Are they cowed by being asked hard questions? Why is it that the "truth movement" feels like someone is trying to shut them down and deprive them of their right to speak freely, when all that is happening is they are asked for proof when they make goofy claims? Seriously, the "truth movement" needs to get over their "persecution complex", especially if they seek to convince the rest of us that they are right. I accept the "official story" (I prefer "consensus view") only provisionally, meaning if a better explanation comes along, I am open to it. Unfortunately, all I've heard is warmed over rebunkings and 9/11 myths and things that don't even make logical sense. And that's not even including the goofiest bullshit like "no-planes" and "mini-nukes".

13. Yep, divert
I can take the nastiness and incivility a bit easier than they.

Even using the term 'truthers' is nasty.

And when some do speak out they get called all kinds of nasty names.

Sure, there is some goofy stuff, but so f'n what? It is a sign of critical thinking to be able to sift thru everything without getting all emotional and using incivility to try and beat back what others might be thinking.

I relish the idea of a free exchange of ideas. It doesn't worry or bother me that others (except beck types who are just cruel) see things different than me. And if I disagree, it doesn't give me the right to get nasty on them and call them names. Of course, sometimes one does have to fight fire with fire, eh?

Please provide an example of someone being called a nasty name here, dude. Be specific.

More importantly, how is calling someone a "truther" nasty?? That's what "truthers" call themselves.

Duh.

15. Truther
Used the way it is here, it is used as a nasty term and many do not like the term being used to describe them. It is like using the N word, for some. I suggest, to show some respect, the term should quit being used here.

But that's just me. YMMV.

I used it my post was deleted. Seems the same could be done for "Truthers" as it is used here.

17. Yeah?
With all due respect, the term should be examined and eliminated if possible.
It's a shame that terms must be circumcised but the misuse is a problem for a lot of good DUers.

For those of you who may not know it, I do not believe the "official" story about 9/11. Though I don't consider myself part of the 9/11 Truth Movement, mainly because I'm not actively trying to move anything on this issue, I guess I'm nevertheless what is known as a "Truther".

But I assure you that my concern for whether or not Subdivisions dislikes being referred to as a truther is high on my priority list (in spite of the fact that he used it when referring to himself). Although it's not quite as high on my list as getting Bushco out of office.
