So there are these threads all the time about the "Dark Side of the Moon"...how it was all a big conspiracy.

You do know that film is a mockumentary correct people? In the same realm as "The Blair Witch Project"...

I have seen part of the movie and it is bizarre. Getting Rumsfeld and Kissinger to give cryptic lines supporting the Apollo hoax suggests it is not an ordinary spoof. My guess is it's some sort of disinfo/psyop/half-truth.

It is irrelevant what "topics" those men where talking about when those snippets of film were taken in real life. Irrelevant. It was a cut & splice tailored to make the maximum impact on the effectiveness of the film as a darkly humorous vehicle of entertainment.

What "topic" was President Kennedy discussing when Forrest Gump told him he had to go pee because he'd consumed too many Dr. Peppers? Why was JFK barely suppressing a shit-eating grin when Forrest whispered that fact into his ear?

Answer: it is irrelevant because Forrest Gump is just a movie; President Kennedy never had such a meeting/conversation in real life; the director/producers of the movie had the character of Forrest Gump visually inserted into the frame to, and I repeat myself, increase the effectiveness of the film as a vehicle of entertainment.

A lot of them were in on the joke about the mockumentary. I can't remember if it's in the original film as well, but there's some blooper scenes where people like Rumsfeld, Cheney, Armstrong (I think) messing up their lines and laughing at the absurdity of them.
