9/10... the Days Before America Changed Forever
On 9/10 bush's poll numbers were in the toilet.

Due any day was a media consortium report that detailed how Gore really won Florida.

The White House had already heard numerous reports of an impending attack using airliners from both homeland security and foreign sources.

The CIA and FBI were dilly-dallying with pertinent information that should have led to the capture and deportation of several of the 'hijackers'.

NORAD was beginning execution of the next day's practice run of bombarding ATC, Air Traffic Controller, scopes with simulated airline hijackings.

John O'Neill, hired by Guilliani's security man, Haeur, was working at the WTC and had claimed that the security of the towers were in grave danger: "They'll come back and finish the job" O'Neill told a friend.

Those were the good old days.

1. O'Neil forget to tell everyone
it was his own FBI that failed to spoil the 93 plot as they supervised the bomb being built.

13. Thank you -- and notice he also mentions CIA ---
The reason the Russians went to the UN Security Council with their info was

because they feared just that -- that somehow blame would be transferred to them.

Russians had been banging on the WH and intelligence doors with their info and

only met "Operation Ignore" from WH/Bush.

Russians were so concerned that they went to the UN Security Council with their info

and in AUGUST the UN Security Council sent their own reps to WH and our intelligence

agencies to make sure they were getting the info!!

AUGUST just before 9/11 --

the insider trading appears to be a global event.

And they realized the opium crops in Afghanistan weren't planted in 2001. Lots of that heroin ends up in Russia too.

15. Didn't know that anyone tracked the "insider trading" ....
to more than what happened here -- though, of course, they would have gone

for all they could get--!!

Of course, drug trading is enriching elites --

And, also remember Sarah McClendon/Journalist and one of the Reps -- from Texas I think --

a kind of simple name I can't recall at the moment -- but they were trying to get

us to see the elites/suits a little differently from the imagine they were offering

of themselves! And, certainly they were making clear that drug money was polluting our

government -- this is probably 20 years ago on C-span when you could actually see something

of import there! They also mentioned that at some point some CIA people who were retired

were looking into Swiss Bank accounts, finding evidence of Congressional members' with

drug money in their accounts and forcing them to resign--???

A while back here at DU there was a video of a British officer looking out on a huge crop

of drugs and commenting how much "the Americans love to deal in drugs" - !!

We have to find a way to end this Drug War --

16. Those are all great points
Certainly the drug war and the Swiss banking. As far as I know they haven't released any information on those 4000 "tax evaders" and the media is silent since first reporting it like usual. Perhaps it suggest nothing is really happening to those clients and it's in fact money laundering related. I'm still waiting to hear more on it anyway.

"Jonathan Winer, an ABC News Consultant said "it's absolutely unprecedented to see cases of insider trading covering the entire world from Japan to the United States and North America to Europe."

Theres the original clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76ZVvMU4UO4

And that's just the put options. Looks like the pre 9/11 trading is more unusual than often suggested.

7. The summer of 2001
Democrats were seething. bushco had started right out turning back progress.

The Cheney Energy Task Force had raised alarms, nuke rattling shook peace to its core, and news channels began broadcasting programs about biological terrorism coming home to America.

The FBI had no permanent head, just an acting head, but the head of the head of CIA was on fire because the threat of airplane hijacking was being ignored by bushco.

What the FBI was focusing on were the environmental folks, calling them the number one threat. Yep. With all that was going on, the FBI was focusing on tree-huggers.

40. The question SDud asked was:
"". If they were so "competent"...

why couldn't they manage to plant WMD in Iraq, instead of humiliating themselves before the entire world/""

And, in order to answer that I need to know what SDud thinks about why the invasion was allowed to proceed.

There were 70 some odd Senators who believed there were WMD in Iraq, and only 20 or so Democratic Senators who didn't believe.

So, in the minds of many elected officials, bushco DID plant WMD in Iraq.

Of course this post defeats all pretense of yall knowing the history, and for that affront I hereby do apologize for having done so. My condolences.

41. No, dude...
stupid question, but about what I would expect from you as you dishonestly reframe this to try to save face. Any number of us have noted the incompetence of the Bush administration, while you, all the while, attempt to portray them as some sort of hypercompetent force that planned nearly everything and got everything they wanted. Their failure to find WMD was a major embarrassment for them on many levels. This, of course, severely undermines your claims. If they were so competent, do you really expect us to believe they couldn't have simply planted some WMD?

Of course, instead of acknowledging that and conceding the indefensibility of your absurd allegations, you clumsily try to make this about me by posing a dishonest question to make it appear that I somehow was duped by the Bush administration's central rationalization for invading Iraq. Again, this is why no one takes you seriously here, especially because of your repeated attempts to smear those of us who merely disagree with you on the facts as somehow tied to the Bush administration.

Knock it off, dude, or I suspect you will quickly lose whatever small measure of support you enjoy from those who share your delusion. If they weren't so embarrassing to liberalism, the Democratic Party and DU, your sad antics might actually be funny, rather than earning you nearly universal condemnation.

I actually have tried to give you the benefit of the doubt at various times, assuming your cognitive, communicative and epistemelogical skills are so impaired as to explain your rather bizarre conduct. Then, of course, I realize that no one could possibly be that incompetent. I'm pretty sure that, with a modicum of research, you could have realized that asking me if I believed Iraq had WMD was one of your dumbest questions.

You see, it takes critical thinking to see that bushco did, in the minds of many, plant the idea that WMD were in Iraq. That's all it took, so the invasion proceeded. Bushco was successful, not incompetent. They were competent liars and thieves.

re-read my response, post # 42.

You went from claiming that many elected officials went from believing that the Bush administration planted WMD to they believed that Bush had planted the "idea" of WMD in Iraq. You do realize how those two claims are at odds with each other, right? Do you also realize why neither of them make any sense? I rather doubt it. When debates get all tangled up like this, it's really silly for you to blame others for your imprecision.

As to why I am "opposing" you on this", it's because of, as I previously cited, your impaired cognitive, communicative and epistemelogical (sp) abilities and flat-out problems with facts. Your tendency to smear those who merely disagree with you on the facts as "Bushco apologists" rather seals the case, dude. Again, your "who, me?" ploy is not working.

You think that if bushco tried to plant WMD in Iraq and discovered they were about to be caught and they withdrew, and the media didn't report it, or the CIA, and they got away with it cleanly, it shows they were incompetent?

Do you think they did not try to plant WMD in Iraq? If they didn't, why didn't they? If they had planted some and the media reported there were WMD in Iraq, like bushco said there was, then bushco would have looked better.

I'm thinking they tried to plant WMD and were discovered, so they dropped it.

You have any solid evidence of bushco incompetence? I can't think of any. They took the money and ran, just like they planned, far as I can tell.

1st, to announce the premise for the invasion as WMD that the Bush administration either knew for sure was not there or did not know because they failed to vet it properly is sheer idiocy.

Secondly, if they knew there were not WMD there and they didn't plan to plant some there, that's even dumber.

Thirdly, if they were trying to plant some and had to abort because they were about to get caught, how is that NOT an example of incompetency??? Do you honestly expect us to believe that they could have fooled people into believing planes were actually involved in the attacks (whether you believe that or not), yet they could not manage to plant some WMD in a country as large and desolate as Iraq and not avoid detection? How in the world is that an indication of "competency", dude?

The problem is, no matter what situation arises, you try to reframe it (sometimes in Orwellian dimensions), buy yourself some time, then ludicrously tell us that "up is down", "backwards is forward" and "inside out is outside in".

Seriously, trying to follow your tortured, confused and disjointed writing reminds me of that great Monty Python skit where a customer tries to return a dead parrot to a pet shop, only to have the clerk insist the parrot is not dead, but merely stunned. Enough, dude.

60. Awww
So fucking put me on ignore.

I don't know why you spend so much time trying to read my stuff. I guess you have an obsession with me? And all I do is piss you off to no end?

Are you having some sick fun, or what?

I am trying to figure out what bushco has done and you are figuring out some way to stop me. You stalk me from thread to thread, and just plain make up shit to disagree with me.

Yeah, it must be some sick fun for you. Me? I deal with assholes every day in real life, so you are just a mere squirt of a problem.

Keep digging, dude, you're almost there.

Bwahahaha!

Yes, dude...TPTB are getting very nervous that you are close to busting this thing wide open.

BTW, I notice that you didn't address my points.

62. They locked that thread, finally
And here you are spreading that bullshit again.

Why address your points... you think bushco was totally incompetent, and I think they were quite, but not totally, competent thieves, murderers, and a CIA agent uncoverer.
You are entitled to your opinion. It is wrong, I have said so. You won't change my mind.
I doubt you'd change anybodies' mind.

Another one of your stupid strawman arguments, dude. I have given you specific examples that undercuts your argument. Of course, you can't or won't address them.

And, it's "anybody's" not "anybodies' ", dude.

Longterm, you might want to look for a debate site that doesn't permit opposing views, so you can relax with your fellow ZITs.

Bye, DUDe.

babbling about now, DUDe?

Is it the way I emphasize the DUD in DUDe? Does that bother you???

Now, you know what it feels like when you truncate my name to emphasize the "dud".

You've got a serious and obvious double standard going, DUDe. And, you can end this right here. Get my drift?

What bothers me is your total falling down and being reduced to name calling.

I have asked you repeatedly and politely to quit addressing me as SDud. Yet you persist.

More importantly, you start whining when I turn the tables on you. Most people here address me as SD or Sdude. You may address me as Mr. Sdude. Deal? Or, do you want to keep playing games?

Tell you what. I'll let you address me as "MOLO" on the conditions that:

1) You honestly disclose what "MOLO" stands for (as hard as I know that will be for you) and

2) You let me address you as "BoPeep"

Speaking of "melting down", why do you feel you have to cut and paste the post you're replying to? It's actually kinda creepy.
