A special plea...
for just 24 hours, to remember and commemorate the thousands of victims of 9/11, I propose a pledge that we will refrain from debating the various theories and, instead, remember those who are no longer with us, from those who died that day, to 1st responders who died in the days, months and years later, to those in uniform and civilians who died due to Bush's reckless behavior.

I don't believe that is too much to ask, do you?

11. That ritual would never fly in this hut. It's an ant-ritual.
Besides, special pleading is a type of logical fallacy. ;)

What if we learn the birthdays of the victims, and agree not to debate various theories on all those days?
Or, we find out the birthdays of all the family members and friends of the victims, and abstain from giving attention to the 9/11 Truth Industry's products on those days?
Now that would be respect.

show me where anything I "defend" is from Bush or Cheney.

If you'd bother to research my posts rather than "shoot first, ask questions later", you'd discover that I have repeatedly called for the indictment, prosecution and conviction of Bush and Cheney.

This is a favorite ploy of the "9/11 was an inside job" crowd. Twist my words to accuse me of defending the Bush administration story of 9/11, rather than merely rejecting the goofy, unproven bullshit of the "9/11 was an inside job" brigade.

41. we've seen these moves before
The response would be, oh no, the poster didn't say that you defended the liars, only that you defended the liars' story. It doesn't even matter whether you got the story from them, or whether you just happen to be defending a story that happens to be the same as their story. And, oh no, the poster didn't say that you were paid to post here, only that it seems like a full time job for you.

I think this sort of thing is intended not as a smear, but as an unmasking. I imagine that some of the people who post here believe that the rules are stacked against them, yet they are doing everything in their power to reveal the truth about 9/11 and the perfidy of their opponents. Under those circumstances, it sucks to be you, but it also sucks to be them. It all just kind of sucks.

Nor can you.

No accused hijacker was listed on any of the original manifests for these flights, nor were photographs captured by surveillance cameras of any of them boarding the airliners on that day. I can't just put them there with wishes or exhortations, but apparently you can, so I bow to your superior magical abilities.

the initial lists released by the airlines were not "manifests", they were lists of the victims. Do you honestly believe they would include the names of the hijackers (murderers) on a list of the victims??

that foreignpolicyjournal probably has more sophisticated research skills than either you or I. And they don't have a definitive answer to the question either.

9/11 Hijackers Not on Flight Manifests? | FPJ
Variations of the claim that no Arab names appeared on the flight manifests (my emphasis) for the planes hijacked on 9/11 persist to this day.

As I've said before, I have no answers, only questions.

It would be hard for anybody looking, even casually, at all the anomalies of that day to NOT say something was pretty hinky about the whole deal and I just can't credit Bin Laden with having the resources he'd need to throw so many wrenches into the investigation ... if you could call it that.

Or, do you think the flight personnel matched them up from where they were seated to the seating chart?

42. Well its been nine years and most of my research material has been scrubbed from the web
but I do recall hearing something about them being identified based on evidence left in their car in the airport parking lot. Oh, and of course Atta's fire proof passport found in the street shortly afterwards by some sharp eyed slooooth.

Also there seems to have been some mix-ups regarding the alleged seating arrangements ....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/1556096.stm
BBC- The last moments of Flight 11
The FBI has named five hijackers on board Flight 11, whereas Ms Sweeney spotted only four. Also, the seat numbers she gave were different from those registered in the hijackers' names.

But that's the problem with making **it up as you go.

After that, I haven't exactly been looking for facts from you. The fact that you think Atta's passport surviving the crash is remarkable, belies your ignorance of how crashes occur. Have you ever looked at a crash site and seen all the paper strewn about?

What on earth does that have to do with who was ON that plane, and how could it be that only that ONE passport was "saved" from the inferno at this particular crash site and found so miraculously? Hell, even the concrete and steel dissolved into ash and dust.

first of all, the concrete and steel did not dissolve into ash and dust, as anyone who looks at pictures of the debris can quickly tell. Secondly, Atta's passport had just as much chance as anyone else's of being blown clear of the crash.

Look up the logical fallacy known as "found significance".

As does the coincidence of Atta's passport surviving the crash and explosion of the craft he was in when nothing else did. That darned thing just popped right out of his pocket and blew safely to the ground for the investigators to find. Now that's ILlogical fantasy from the word go.
