15. There are problems with watching on internet ... for instance ...

you can't do it from any distance cause the screen saver shoots up every 10 minutes or so --

have the same problem when I'm trying to listen to radio via the internet -- you have to be

close to the mouse.

I'll look for a link ... AMC TV ... Mad Men and Rubicon --

I thought they let you watch shows that had already aired?

I didn't get caught up in Mad Men until 3rd season so that's how I figured out

who was who and what was actually going on -- !!

and think they do the same recaps for Rubicon?

And, they include little clips so you can SEE what the characters/actors look like!!

You have to actually SEE "Joan" -- !! And, Betty!! And, Don Draper.

Agree with another poster that "Will" in Rubicon looks like Art Garfunkel!!

Not much to see there . . . save the very sinister Truxton Spangler!!

Miranda Richardson is in the show, but despite my verbal coaching to Will during every

show to go find HER, don't think it happens until next week!!

22. This week in Episode 10, did we see an acknowledgment of right wing political violence ....

and threats as a means of taking and holding power in America?

There is only one way that the right wing can rise and that's via political violence --

including stolen elections --

In this Episode we see that two of those involved in trying to figure out what's going on

have their lives threatened -- and not only their lives -- but those of their families!

Which reminds me -- there's an excellent review of the threats to government officials --

especially Ted Kennedy which I should did up and post here as a reminder -- !!

Meanwhile, you can sit in front of your TVs for the restd of your live, but NO .... they

will never actually tell you anything -- especially NOT acknowledge this right wing political

violence!!

Re "independent" or not -- I think they sort of thought they were working FOR government ...

But seems wow! dangerous to me -- Cheney was leaning on CIA analysts he wanted to

exaggerate Iraq threat! And amazingly many stood up to him! Can you imagine what would

have happened if that had been a private/contracted firm?

It's like Reagan Era and CIA knowing that USSR was near economic collapse, yet not

acknowleged openly. JFK was pretty much laughing at the Cold War -- and rightly so --!!

That's another question about the NIST reports re 9/11 -- they're a private firm under

conract to government -- obviously NOT going to say anything they might feel is suspicious.

Three more shows this season --

and think there is a second season -- ???

But the mentality that drives Thurston Spangler to get rid of those irritating him seems

also to be at play in the arena that Will's team is watching! hmmmm.....

and that those being threatened didn't entirely back off and it worked!

Also that it's shaping up to look a bit like Cheney's description of

right wing "controlling reality" and the rest of us living it!

Essentially this seems to be shaping up as being about "false flag" activity

-- elites using violence and "events" to control their profits -- and borrowing

from intelligence to understand when they are being tracked and to help cover

up their deeds.

There was an original creator of this series called Horwitch, who evidently left after the

pilot given some differences ...

This Sunday is the last show for this season -- and I think everyone watching will agree that

it was more about creating drama and red herrings than about a story line. I agree with one

reviewer that you got the feeling they really didn't know where they were going and were

writing it still. Reference to BP's oil spill in last show as we saw explosions in Galveston

area of oil reserves/harbor.

Personally, I think the show started off to be a counter to the 9/11 myth --

The Cheney-like treasonous head of the API couldn't be mistaken for anyone else --

And, it's certainly about false flag operations --

Just think they lost their nerve at the beginning -- and maybe at the end they're trying to

get it up again to toss in some truth? The rest of it was simply wasting time trying to

get up some nerve?

There's supposed to be a "Rubicon" marathon at some point where you can see all of the 13

shows probably in one day -- or one week? Don't know when.

Doubt they'll renew this because while artistically interesting -- character development, etal --

I'm presuming that the network is not fearless in presenting what this show should have been???

35. Just as a recap on Episode 12....

The hero - Will -- confirms that the group is involved in creating false flag

operations for oil profits. They've been killing people for years for their own financial

profit -- and presumably political power -- that we don't know yet.

Perhaps other market commodities, as well? Attack times are connected to just pre-market closing.


The most unbelievable part of the story line is the seeming inability of two characters --

one an intelligence operative -- the other a member of the group -- to -- in the event of their

deaths -- be able to convey to their loved ones that they will likely have been murdered or

forced to commit suicide and WHO DID IT and WHY!!

The "clues" are where you first lose interest -- they are exhaustingly complicated and unbelievable.

Mirianda Richardson - walks around in what seems a daze most of the time -- wondering about her

husband's death. Her character makes Hamlet look decisive.

And the show waits much too long to bring Will and Miranda/Katherine together --

There's an interesting member of the group who is close to Katherine and who ultimately passes

some revealing info onto her as he, himself, comes under suspicion by the group.

Presumably, there is no honesty among theives -- and some of them lose the stomach for the

project -- so never think of conspirators as omnipotent!

But VIOLENCE is the key to right wing behavior and plenty of it in this conspiracy.


Women are rising in this show -- two of them are heavily involved in intelligence work -- on

the pro-side. Another -- an assistant now -- is working on language skills that will move her up

in the organization. Love interests, as well!

The actors are all appealing -- and you are made to care enough to develop sympathy for them.



There's a bit of a problem, IMO, with lack of consistency in areas which are bugged and unbugged --

and with one of the "assassins" dead, hard to believe that they have up to the minute photos

of activities of those they at times have trouble tailing and not being shaken off!


Wish Agatha Christie were still around!!

38. Turns out it is 9/11 and "false flag" operations - treason -- and war on Iran ....

Evidently, Jerome Horwitch WAS trying to deliver a new warning to us --

Henry Bromell -- I think was the writer on this.

Evidently, Horwitch dropped out after the pilot was made -- "differences."

Cheney, of course, is in charge -- in the person of Traxton Spangler!!


Don't know if there will be a 2nd season --

It has now been acknowledged for the "Hamlet's" among us all that .... "yes, indeed,

these things do happen, did happen, and still happen."

How easily "nods" and silent hand raisings bring about murder of a group member or

a perceived enemy!

And, how many ways we have to kill people now making it look like accident or suicide --

or the "drug addict" deaths we've been made so familiar with over the decades.

We get a look at the people who do these things -- they look normal, but we know they

have somehow become perverted and their thinking distorted, tragically.

Motives? Power ...

Either translating a dollar bill into power over others --

or simply the power to push others around.

Simultaneous with the airing of Rubicon, AMC was playing "The Crucible" which was Arthur

Miller's play recalling the McCarthy Era.

In the case of this Rubicon presentation -- The Crucible -- and the McCarthy Era -- it

depended upon an unearned trust in government and/or religious leadership -- i.e., AUTHORITY.

The best warnings on all of this came to us, in fact, by a former president -- IKE!

C-span was just playing his farewell address this evening.

AND -- needless to say -- from the Youth Movement of the 1960's .... which was about a whole

lot more than sex! It was about a challenge to patriarchy and religious authority across

the board. Here's Mae Brussel on that --
