Harley Guy IDed: Mark Walsh, Freelance Reporter for Fox News
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q6dUd8T4o4

The full video explains a lot. It's amazing to once again see one of the chief talking points of the 9/11 Truth turn out to be one more selectively edited, cherry picked video.

1. Which talking point would that be?
Serious question, because this is the first time I've heard of "Harley Guy"... I mainly focus on PNAC when it comes to 9-11. My thinking is that if it was an inside job, PNAC/NeoCons were involved. Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz & Feith, just to mention a few.

What's the controversy over "Harley Guy"?

.. without wasting my time looking through a bunch of bullshit online. How I waste my time is my decision. You were obviously trying to make a point that was important enough to you to post about it, so what was it? You could have just explained yourself by now and we could both be on our way to other things.

10. Thank you, Mr Berryhill...
So, from what I gather, someone was convinced that "Harley Guy" was someone else, posted some video excerpts of the guy, and it took 9 years to figure out he was someone else? Did the author of the blog not have the full video that Bolo linked to, where it identified the speaker.. or did he purposely leave that information out, or what?

11. The Pilots for 9/11 Truth guys make a big deal out of him

But, look, if the Harley Guy is not relevant to your set of issues, then it's just as easy to say, "Oh this one has to do with theories to which I don't subscribe" than to get into an extended tit-for-tat over it.

I don't know the answers to your questions, I just googled it. I had never heard the the Harley Guy either.

btw, I have a question for you that I'll ask by PM. If you get a kick out of birthers, there are some happenings in TN that some folks on a birther-watcher blog would like a set of eyeballs for.

21. No, it was not false. Walsh is being used currently in the opening part of AE911Truth's presentation
He's part of the first clip from 911Mysteries. He was used in the recent National Press Club mock debate that AE911Truth patted itself on the back with last September 11th.

You may be completely unaware of how Walsh is used in the larger 9/11 Truth community. But it is a chief talking point that the "official story" was injected into the public consciousness on 9/11 by such people like Walsh. His tendency for soundbites and vivid, concise speech is used to undermine the information he's giving. But he's actually just a freelance video guy who witnessed this event and knew he would be on camera explaining it, and spent some time thinking about what he would say. That's it.

67. If you don't want to, or can't, answer questions on a public discussion board,
you are best advised to stop posting on said public discussion board. Otherwise, your posting here opens you to questions. If you can't answer a simple question, a simple "I don't know" will suffice.

56. he probably knew because he probably called the network
since he was a freelancer and knows them or they called him and asked him if he would go on camera.
So, he probably gave himself time to prepare. How much time? Who knows?
You would need to ask him.
But, what is so mysterious about that?
It happens all the time.
I once witnessed a robbery and after I was done talking to the police, the news crew asked if I would go on "live" to answer some questions. About 10 minutes later, I was on the air.
And during those 10 minutes, I thought about what I was going to say and how I was going to say it.
Because I KNEW I was going on the air...

62. Ok, that's a plausible scenario...
What's the big controversy though? Was it his identity, his demeanor? With him being a free lancer, I could understand him preparing a little bit first. It looks to me like he was using the camera like a resume' or a screen test, trying to make an impression with the station managers and the viewers alike. Maybe he was auditioning for a full time gig?

Certainly wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

I was standing in the rubble that used to be my home in Florida City, Florida after Hurricane Andrew. 69. The first question should be
Who is Mark Walsh? Has anybody ever heard of him before? Or since? Has he ever written anything?

The man in the video was earlier identified as Jerome Hauer, former OEM for New York City under Giuliani, and I'm wondering if this "outing" is nothing but a latter day attempt to discredit that identification.

It just reminds me of how different some people look when they take off their ball cap.

The guys at ae911truth, as well as others seem to think it is Hauer, at least they're sure enough about that to put it in some upcoming film or something. Its hard to believe they'd say something like that without some strong evidence. Besides, if it WAS Hauer and it was a "newsop", he'd probably attempt to alter his appearance and intonation as much as possible for the camera. Guess I'll just wait to see what comes of it.

if they were looking to get someone to deliver certain points into the news stream that day. He was "a freelancer for Fox" -- that revelation is supposed to convince us that he wasn't a plant? Really?

I don't see anything in the longer video that's inconsistent with the original allegation. That looks just like how they would have done it, if they did it.

Here's the part that raised suspicions:

And then I witnessed both towers collapse, one first and then the second, mostly due to structural failure because the fire was just too intense.

Where did he get that conclusion about the cause of collapse? Out of his ass is your answer. But maybe he got it from somewhere else, somewhere darker.

this longer video hardly disproves that the guy is a shill.

By the way, I never really bought the idea that this guy was Mark Humphrey.

What WOULD be good, now that we know who this guy is, is to interview him, and ask how he figured out the structural failure thing-- or if someone fed him that line.

36. Well, the point is that there were various alternatives possible at that point but he seems to know.
Meanwhile there are police and fire professionals who at that time believe the collapse was caused by secondary explosions they heard that were in turn caused by secondary devices. But this guy somehow knows different, knows that it was not due to secondary devices, knows that it was due to impact and fires. The level of conviction he says it with sounds contrived to me, as does that whole statement that I excerpted.

This small fragment doesn't prove anything, one way or the other (and no one said that it did). It just looks and sounds fishy, that's all.

38. What seems weird is not just getting a soundbite; the soundbite seems prescient and scripted.
You couple the seeming prescience/lucky guess with the fact that it sounds scripted and finally add to it that the guy is a Fox freelancer and it gives the appearance of a plant.

But maybe it wasn't - maybe he was just a really lucky guesser with a weird way of talking.

A "really lucky guess" would be if he said that alien lizards led by a guy named Bob kicked the towers over with space-age Converses, and turned out to be right.

It would be just part of the cover story.

If you could find other citations online, well, that can be faked these days, can't it?

If you could find other citations from somewhere other than Fox, well, the CIA is good at building false identities, aren't they?

It just never ends. You will always be able to find a reason to doubt what's in front of your face.

109. Well, go back and watch it again.
The reporter clearly knows who Mark Walsh is. It's evident in the way he introduces him. He's not greeting someone who handed him a press badge.

As I said, the need for confirmation will never end. There's the reporter right there live on Fox News introducing the guy. For you, that's not enough. For those who don't want to believe, the ability to manufacture reasons not to believe will never end.

it quite possible this Mark Walsh guy just walked up to Rick L and said told him he's a freelancer who's done work for FOX before and then showed Rick is press pass. maybe Rick checked with FOX to confirm, or maybe Rick just took his word and press pass for it and didn't double check. there's no way to know. that's why it would be prudent to confirm this Mark Walsh is who he says.

And while that probably isn't true, if the reporter doing the interview was given the "witness's" name and position ... why would he even question it? Remember, everything was chaos that day.

Even so, there have been many comments about the reporter shoving other people away to make sure harley guy got the microphone. And that video is very dark. Rooky cameraman, too, I guess.

So besides that one most important interview ... lets hear about all Walsh's other work for Fox. Got anything else?
