What drives me F-ing crazy about truthers, in light of Cablegate
Edited on Fri Dec-03-10 04:20 PM by NYMdaveNYI
I have to give credit to DUer Bolo Boffin for first invoking this point....

So, Wikileaks releases countless confidential reports of the atrocities of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and nearly as many revealing diplomatic cables detailing the dark side of America’s diplomatic relations. Meanwhile, truthers complain that no documents have been released that prove their baseless conspiracy claims. Thus, according to their logic, Assange and WikiLeaks MUST be part of today's CoTD’s cover-up. The thought that maybe, just maybe, there ARE no documents confirming the conspiracy theory because it’s not real does NOT even cross their mind.

Here's an analogy, the Wikileaks release does not address the NSA's covert brigade of sprarkly purple unicorns that poop in New York's city parks and spy on people. Why? Because IT IS NOT REAL.THAT'S WHY. IT'S FUCKING IMAGINARY. To this, a unicorn-truther would reply that Wikileaks is in bed with the NSA, and that the recent release of diplomatic cables only served to distract us from the unicorn crisis.

All of a sudden, Wikileaks and Assange, are denounced by troofers as right-wing hacks, or accessories to BushCo/Illuminati/Bilderberg/Mossad/CIA/(insert conspirator here), as would be anyone that either calls them out on, or contradicts their wacky, unfounded bullshit.

1. The conspiracy gets larger by the day, doesn't it?
Assange must be a patsy for sacrificing himself and Wikileaks for the sake of retaining the secrecy of 9/11.

Or, he could've just not released ANY documents, not put himself on front page news, and not subject himself to this level of scrutiny.

Begs the question... why put yourself through this if you had more damning evidence at your disposal? Go big or go home as they say.

2. And watch the U.S. government and others relentlessly pursue Assange around the globe
Sparing no effort to shut down his Internet access in whatever way possible...

And yet for nine years, 9/11 Truth advocates have been rarely, if ever, bothered at all. They have to go get INTO someone's face to stir up a reaction.

Please think about this, folks.

7. Why are the Ali Soufan MFR's still classified?
Edited on Fri Dec-03-10 09:15 PM by noise
Is the secrecy acceptable?

A government acting in good faith would have released the 9/11 records years ago. Yet the commission voted to delay the release of records until 1/09 and the intelligence agencies are still sitting on many key MFR's. The very same intelligence agencies that claim they need the power to torture and issue NSL's and use warrantless surveillance.

When will the intelligence agencies account for their pre-9/11 conduct?

22. um, how do you think he is able to get through customs
as he travels "around the globe"?...
Anyone with curiosity and a computer can find documentation that will expose 911 to it's core. and I will tell you that none of the media (aka multinational corporations, defense contractors, and worse) is interested in that information because it contradicts and exposes the lies that they have created/disseminated.

3. Do you have a link to any of these complaints that
"that no documents have been released that prove their baseless conspiracy claims"?

The only person I've seen mention it at all is Bolo Boffin himself: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=125x302686 ... and it was a stupid question to ask since at the time only ONE PERCENT of the cables had been released. You give credit where credit isn't due, and your own post only makes you look ignorant too..

"All of a sudden, Wikileaks and Assange, are denounced by troofers as right-wing hacks, or accessories to BushCo/Illuminati/Bilderberg/Mossad/CIA/(insert conspirator here), as would be anyone that either calls them out on, or contradicts their wacky, unfounded bullshit."

Provide a link to back up your assertions....

Thanks in advance

4. I have only seen Brzezinski and Wayne Madsen hint at intelligence agencies
Dr Zbig says that WikiLeaks may have been manipulated by intelligence services with "very specific objectives". They could be, as he hints, internal US elements who want to embarass the Barack Obama administration. But he also suspects "foreign elements". In this case, the first on the list would be none other than the state of Israel.

As conspiracy theories go, this one is a cracker; could WikiLeaks be the head of a real invisible "snake" - a massive Israeli disinformation campaign? Evidence would include cables seriously compromising the US-Turkey relationship; the cumulative cables painting a picture of a Sunni Arab-wide consensus for attacking Iran; and the fact that the cables reveal nothing that demonstrates how Israel has jeopardized US interests in the Middle East over and over again.

Who knows, what puzzles me is why did Assange tell Scotland Yard where he is?

An extradition warrant is expected to be passed to the Metropolitan Police today or early next week.

They have apparently known for over a month where Australian-born Mr Assange, who is in hiding in south-east England, is staying.

He supplied the force with his contact details upon arrival in Britain in October, said his London-based lawyer.

It today emerged that Mr Assange only escaped arrest yesterday because the Swedish authorities filled out an Interpol arrest warrant incorrectly.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘If an international arrest warrant is legitimately issued and is passed to us and if we know where that person is then of course we would arrest them.’

WikiLeaks Founder, “Constantly Annoyed that People Are Distracted by False Conspiracies Such as 9/11″

Julian Assange’s recent comment in the Belfast Telegraph about 9/11, however, may be a more tangible source of concern for me. I know Assange isn’t an idiot, so I see three other possibilities:

1. He is profoundly ignorant of the vast body of material that demonstrates that the 9/11 spectacle was a false flag operation.

2. He’s “picking his battles” and not wanting to have to deal with the inevitable conspiracy theory stigma that could threaten his media access

3. He’s running a limited hangout/honeypot

Of these three options, I doubt that it’s number two.

Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 04:38 PM by mrarundale
and we can settle the debate. I did read that a former employee of his saw emails that indicated funding from CIA sources. Whether it is true -dunno. The logic of the turn of events just doesn't add up, IMO.

11. oh please, not that you are biased or anything
First, Assange has already said he's not interesting in 9/11 conspiracies, so that already says where he is coming from.

Second, all the stuff that has been released is pretty low-level stuff. Anything on 9/11 is guaranteed to be much more classified.

Third, you are ignoring the mountains of evidence showing 9/11 WAS an inside job.

On Sept 1st of 2001, the president of the US made it known that there were hijackers on the loose.

He knew that fact to be true, but the "Troof" is, he kept it a secret.

That makes them have to change their shorts, eh?

likely, although a former associate of his said he was being funded by US intelligence sources. He seems to have access to some sort of coercion capabilities, which was mentioned by one of the alleged rape victims and in relation to Bradley Manning. (If those stories are true -unlike you, I don't place absolute faith in what I hear from General Electric and Disney, etc...)

Why pay someone when you can get them to do what you want for free? So what if you ruin their life?:-( "Someone" could have found his Achille's heel, (which appears to be his ego.)

What's up with "troofers"? Do you melt like the Wicked Witch of the West when she gets water thrown on her if you say the word "truth"?

21. Who do you think is "leaking" those documents ?

Do you ever consider that it may be someone with an agenda?
Why do you think JA is able to move freely from country to country, being wanted by Interpol (lol) and all?
Haven't you noticed that the big relevations are not new?

Haven't you noticed that the leaks are all about government "revelations" and not corporations and that they are released during a democratic administration?

Do you really think that the multi billion dollar Pentagon/intelligence/State Department, etc.. can't keep "secret" documents out of some hacker's hands?

Or do you think, that, possibly this is being used as an excuse to invoke the Espionage Act of 1918 and further curtail our free speech? (Don't worry , people with zero analytical thinking skills will still be able to blather away freely)

and I'll ask again- what is the opposite of "truther"? Why do you you people have such disdain for the word "truth"?? Because of some stale 'ol Colbert remarks, which had nothing to do with 911?
