Might I just say...
...that I find the September 11th Commemorative Coin ad I just saw on television at least as poorly concieved as most conspiracy theories about 9/11, if not more than most? I know it may sound like damning with faint praise, but I rarely find the cynicism behind the coin vultures in 9/11 Truth advocates. There is some, and it does aggrevate me, but it's not as pervasive as this.

1. agreed
I find it odd that is it an event to be commemorated.
And with a coin...doubly so.

Ghoulish is what it is.

4. Why am I not surprised
that you neglected to mention the profiteering/fearmongering industry that has exploited 9/11 for all its worth?

6. I find it hard to understand how you can observe the exploitive nature
of the commemorative coin peddlers and the so called conspiracy theory cottage industry yet fail to observe off the charts exploitation by the political/media establishment.

7. The problem here is yours.
Where exactly do you think I saw this advertisement, noise? In the media. This is one of the ways the political/media establishment is exploiting 9/11.

So in a clear example of my observing the off the charts exploitation of the political/media establishment, you snip at me for not doing so. I'll accept your apology now.

10. The political/media establishment is looking out for us
Two Democratic New York congressmen, Rep. Jerrold Nadler and Sen. Charles Schumer, have accused the National Collector's Mint in Port Chester, New York, of selling bogus September 11 coins in an attempt to exploit the tragedy for profit.

"With the tenth anniversary of 9/11 approaching, we should unfortunately expect more scams, as criminals and snake oil salesmen seek to profit from the deep emotional connection that millions of Americans have to that terrible tragedy," Nadler said.

U.S. probes allegations of phony September 11 coins

Can you think of anyone else who would dare "seek to profit from the deep emotional connection that millions of Americans have to that terrible tragedy?"

Pretty cheesy making money off the backs of the 3000 people who lost their lives as well as their families. What are they going to do, donate .00001 cents for each one sold to help the families?

9. I think your quote says it all

Note how some CIA/FBI officials took advantage of their pre 9/11 failures to make big bucks in the post 9/11 security industry. They won't tell the public what happened in the lead up to 9/11 but they are more than happy to scare the shit out of people with al Qaeda drumbeats.
