Here's an excellent essay titled "9/11—Mission Accomplished?"
http://redactednews.blogspot.com/2011/01/nila-sagadevan-911-mission-accomplished.html#more

specially in the face of these ongoing illegal wars that continue to devour lives at a sickening rate, I’ve come to realize that efforts to help expose the truth behind 9/11 must transcend personal considerations. Given that it is 9/11 that lies at the root of this horrific slaughter of innocents in distant lands (now well over a million), I truly believe this is a vitally important, selfless, pursuit that embodies the highest form of patriotism and public service imaginable.

Besides, it is impossible to function normally in the “matrix” once you’ve swallowed the red pill. There’s simply no going back to the world of illusion when Truth stares you in the face at every turn. I am cursed with a constitution that will not allow me to drift along pretending all’s well when I know beyond a doubt we’ve been deceived en masse by a cadre of criminals in our midst.

1. Nila Sagadevan is a retired aeronautical engineer and pilot.
His first book, Warpaint Of The Gods (Truepenny Press, 2004), led to a special invitation to the UN conference commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Declaration on “The Elimination of Intolerance based on Religion or Belief”. Sagadevan’s writings—on world affairs, race relations, and metaphysics, among other subjects—have appeared in a variety of magazines and newspapers in the US and abroad. Born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) and educated in the UK, he has lived in the US for the past four decades. http://www.warpaintofthegods.com/WP/quotes.html

2. Hilarious
It's every single truther talking point, all mixed and mashed up to get one, long, incoherent thesis, which offers no proof.

I'd do a point by point commentary, but what's the point? The time for fence-sitters is long gone, either they've accepted the facts of 9/11 or they've adopted the tinfoil hat of truth(tm).

4. Architects and Engineers
Firemen, Policemen, Pilots...and many more for 911 Truth. The numbers grow daily, slowly but surely, towards the light of day. You may stay in the dark if you wish.

6. I asked you for three good reasons to believe 9/11 was an inside job
If that's too tough, how about just one?

See, otherwise, all you've done is show that some very, very tiny percentage of architects, engineers, firemen, policemen, and pilots believe some completely incredible things without having one good reason.

9. Just for the record
What´s your take on the "ongoing illegal wars that continue to devour lives at a sickening rate"? ( quote from original post, by Stanchetalarooni )

Do you have any sympathy for anyone fighting "this horrific slaughter of innocents in distant lands"? ( another quote from original post )

I´m just curious.

19. Are you suggesting that conspiracy bullshit is the best you can do...
... for an anti-war argument? For the record, I think that's pretty pathetic.

10. I have reason to believe that what happened on 911 wasn't revealed by the 911 Commission.
If you go here http://www.ae911truth.org/en/evidence.html you can peruse a myriad of very good reasons for this belief.
And then you can go to the petition page here
http://www2.ae911truth.org/signpetition.php
and find a licensed engineer or architect who has signed on that lives in your hood to help you through the data.
Let me know how that works for you.

If by "very good reasons", you mean "absolutely thoroughly debunked bullshit", I agree.

13. nice strawman
1. War sucks.
2. Yes.

And I would be willing to bet 100% of posters at DU would agree, so the question becomes...why would you ask?

15. Why would I ask

Well, it seems to me that in the same way that you have two camps here, on the issue of 911, you have also got two camps here on the issue of the US wars ; one camp that speaks in terms like "this horrific slaughter of innocents in distant lands", and one camp that speaks in terms like "war sucks".

If you get my drift. Seems to me like we´re talking about very different mindsets here. And it interests me.

16. No, I don't get your drift.
How about "this horrific slaughter of innocents in distant lands proves that war sucks."
Happy?
I see no difference in the mindsets here when it comes to questions about the horrors of war. What difference does it make how we express it if we feel the same?
So, again, I don't see what your point is.

20. Well, you surely see
that I can not know the answer if I don´t ask. :)

My next question :

You are obviously absolutely convinced that 911 was not an inside job.

Are you equally convinced there is nothing to the LIHOP theory?

And would you agree if I say that if the LIHOP theory is correct, then it would be a good thing if the 911truth movement really got people on their side? Even if most of them believe in a false MIHOP theory?

22. "What difference does it make how we express it".. Let me try to explain that...
We can't discern emotion, tone or inflection from words on a screen. If I have someone telling me about all their problems in life and shit, and I say "yeah, life sucks", does that mean I'm against life?? No, it doesn't. On the same token, someone simply saying "war sucks" doesn't necessarily mean they are against the war. You could simply be implying that "war sucks"... for those the war is being executed on, or those being killed, but still not be against the war itself. It can be taken the same as saying "shit happens". The fact that they have a defined "acceptable loss of life" for innocents and our troops should tell you how someone can say "war sucks", but still support the war.

/rambling :-)

23. Just so
I can´t help that I still feel that the two camps have very different mindsets also on the issue of US wars.

One camp holds that the "horrific slaughter of innocents in distant lands" is fundamentaly wrong, and that it is really a kind of MIHOP ( making it happen ), only it´s a MIHOP that is a bit more ellaborate, because the way you´re "making it happen" is by slaughtering innocents in distant lands, and trigging the revenge, the revenge comes, and then the US war-drive / authoritarian state-drive gets another massive boost, and needs to go out and slaughter some more, in order to keep all the money they get in flowing, and in order to trigger some more revenge, so they will get more boost... and it goes on.

This is clearly in line with the mindset of the conspiracy camp. But in the other camp I can´t remember seeing anyone saying anything that made me think that thoughts like these have ever crossed his/her mind.

14. You sound the my Nam vet cousin.
The thought that he was lied to by his government is so awesomely intolerabe because it would mean that he "pacified" all those "gooks" for a Tonkin lie. So he used to cuss and swear and drink and flashback. He couldn't allow any doubt to entewr into his brain mix.
But that was back then. Over the years he learned of pirates and "sappers" inside the Homeland first hand working inside the govt.
He doesn't flash any more and quit drinking and has found wisdom.
I wish the best for you Zappaman.

I know the government lies all the time and certainly don't find the idea "awesomely intolerabe", so maybe I just remind you of him because he didn't buy your fantasy bullshit either?

24. No, I told him long ago that his war was a crock.
It took him 25 years to let go of his "fantasy bullshit". You just seem to remind me of him during that long 25 years when all the "programming" was rattling around in his brain.
"Discernment" is what I try to cultivate in myself and others. I think that is what most "Truthers" wish for and strive for also. I don't think the government lies "all the time" but rather lies some of the time. Then comes the hard work of learning to parse fact from fiction.

That's what I thought.

I'm quite familiar with Gage's nonsense and the serious problems with both his facts and his reasoning. If you find them compelling, then I can assure you that you are the one who needs to seek out someone who actually understands the subject.

Besides box cutters what else can you prove? Perhaps it is you who has made the purchase of said bullshit.
