The argument „The hijackers are still alive“ is pretty much debunked

Still today one hears quite often the argument that six or seven hijackers were still alive the days after 911. There have been six or seven people having the same identity and picture as the ones presented by the FBI who showed up alove and claimed their innocence.

911myths.com makes a very convincing case here. There are basically two reasons why this argument doesn’t stand the test:

All this people showing up and stating that they’re innocent did so before September 27, 2001. But it was only on this day that the FBI presented the official photos of the alleged hijackers. (Only a few official photos had so far been presented by the media e.g. Atta). Therefore one has to take into consideration that people showing up alive and stating that their photos had been presented as the photos of the hijackers aretalking in fact about the photos being presented by the media (who apparently didn’t have the photos from the FBI but by their own research). So these people are refering to different pictures and that’s why the claims ceased after September 27, 2001.

Second argument is that several arab newspapers actually did interview the families of the alleged hijackers. And indeed all families had lost a son on 911. Not a single family came up presenting a young man being still alive having the same name as the alleged hijacker.

Therefore I think one can savely say that this argument „The hijackers are still alive“ is debunked. What’s not debunked and what deserves much more attention (but is more complicated than the abovementioned claim) are the identities of the alleged hijackers.
