So no photos released, how can we not be suspicious
Edited on Wed May-04-11 01:23 PM by quinnox
This whole episode has been one bizarre incident after another. All of a sudden after 10 years, we find bin Laden living in the open and we go in, take him out, and bury him quickly 'at sea'. Now no photos are going to be released.

All we have to go on is the word of the US government that this whole thing happened the way they say it did.
Well, excuse me for not being a good little sheep and unquestioningly take their word for it while nodding dumbly.

Something stinks, and this only makes me wonder more what the hell happened on Sept. 11th, 2001. The guy who was said to behind it is so conveniently found and killed within a day or two, no questions asked. This is hard to swallow. Now another key to the Sept. 11th attack is silenced forever.

I have lost more respect for the Obama administration, this is not the way we are supposed to do things in America. We are supposed to be an open society and why are they hiding the death photos? We got to see Saddam photos and video, but not for bin Laden. Damn, and that was under Bush the moron as president when the Saddam thing took place, but we still got the video and photos of his capture.

Obama is the new secrecy president apparently, we have to trust his administration, no questions allowed. Questions are dangerous I guess. I'm speechless.

So ends my rant, and that is all I have to say about this. I'm pissed.

1. sh-h-h..... we can't discuss this...
There is no way to prove the guy who was hanged was Saddam either. We never really saw his face- just the back of his head. The camera dropped at just the right time. I'd almost be able to forgive the lies if it go us out of the middle east wars.

2. In the era of photo shop a picture won't prove anything either
I think Obama made the right call. Displaying the photos won't quiet the doubters and all it will do is inflame blood lust on both sides. I really can't understand why anyone wants to see them anyway. It makes me think of those photos of law enforcement posing with the bodies of Dillinger or Bonnie & Clyde like they were hunting trophies. The photos are gruesome and must appeal to something in our lizard brains that is best ignored.

7. I like how you think!
My wife and I were just talking today about how, in the era of photoshop, etc., "proof" has become a lot more problematic.

I also agree with you about the inflammatory potential of a photo/video release.

5. The MSM swallowed even the fake ones
Fake Bin Laden photo trips up media outlets

News organisations around the world were fooled on Monday by a fake image that purported to show the bloodied face of the deceased al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.

The image was aired on Pakistani television and spread quickly on social networking sites such as Twitter, after reports emerged that Bin Laden had been killed.

The photograph's authenticity had not been verified by Pakistani or American authorities, but a number of mainstream media outlets - including Britain's The Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail - positioned the photograph prominently in their coverage of the killing.

Shooting a guy in the face makes face recognition difficult, and his body is on the sea floor.

Welcome to LaLa land

6. You would have believed the photos?
or would you have believed the first CT site that said they were fake?

It waas not a day or two, Obama said this started last August. As for another key being silenced... Why did he not say anything in almost ten years? Why did he not put out a video answering all the truthers? Was he unaware of them? Did he think no one listened? Simple non-sense.
