Just Watched Farenheit 9/11
I know, old documentary. But just now got around to it.

So.... all I have to say is that for those here who argue there is no proof or evidence of bushco involvement in 9/11, the next thing you need to do is watch that documentary.

You may never post here again once you do. Leaving the rest of us to carry on in bringing justice to our country.

Now just go... and watch it.

6. Current TV is running some of Moore's documentaries -- did they run Fahrenheit 911???
They've been doing "Bowling for Columbine" --

but haven't seen them playing "SICKO" or "Fahrenheit 911" --

I've seen them all -- but will always watch them again if they're on --

Own most of them, as well --

8. I dunno...
I picked up a dvd and a player the other day.

Moore is careful to not directly accuse bush of being involved, but any thinking person who watches the documentary will come away with the gist of the story that bush and company did everything they could behind the scenes to make sure the date was the biggest benefit to them.

9. If Moore believe bush was behind 9/11, why did he say this?
"I want to point out that Barack Obama took two years to do what Bush couldn't do in over seven. That's the difference between STUPID in charge and SMART in charge. STUPID pursues two reckless wars, lets OBL escape from Tora Bora, keeps looking for him in caves and invades the wrong country. He bankrupts us to the tune of $1.2 trillion for the Iraq War (it will eventually actually be over $3 trillion), and worse, he cost us the lives of almost 5,000 of our troops, not to mention hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan – and, after all that, he STILL couldn't bring the perp to justice. In fact, in 2005, Bush closed down the CIA station that was devoted to looking for bin Laden! What does SMART do? He sends in a small elite strike force, no troops are killed, and the perpetrator is stopped for good."

and this:

But before leaving to go to the former World Trade Center site, I turned on the TV, and what I saw down at Ground Zero was not quiet relief and gratification that the culprit had been caught.

and more is there... And not a single thing that would lead anyone to believe Michael Moore does not think it was OBL behind 9/11. Read it yourself:

I had been posting here for a couple of years before, and I posted here after.

19 Muslims hijacked 4 planes and flew them into three buildings and a field in Pennsylvania. That's what happened.

Keep working for justice in our country. Your efforts to convict the United States of this act is counter to that worthy goal.

12. That's just wrong, bolo
It is not the US that needs to be convicted, it is bushco. You know that but you feel that you have to twist things? Why is that? Do you really feel bush and company is innocent? That they really had no involvement in the runup and in the way the aftermath was handled? That they should just walk free? Surely you don't, so why in the hell would you even post anything that goes against bush and company being held responsible?

16. No, it is not wrong.
Bush and company were running the United States. You want to blame the United States for something Al Qaeda clearly did.

In other subjects, you do good work. On 9/11, you're counterproductive to your other worthy goals. None of those worthy goals rely one iota on 9/11 Truth. The instant you drop 9/11 Truth, you will become a more effective advocate. That's what I said.

To be clear, I have always wanted a real and thorough investigation and I've yet to see my wants served. You have done nothing for what I and millions of others who seek justice deserve. You could easily join in seeking justice, yet you do not. Indeed you fight against us.

The instant you stop your mindless opposition, you may gain some credibility.

21. In the 9/11 attacks, Bushco is innocent. Plenty of other crimes to nail them on.
Please stop playing silly games. I'm not defending Bushco. I'm defending reality and truth. Bushco didn't commit the 9/11 attacks anymore than they raped 10-year-old kids in the Penn State locker room. Saying that doesn't make me or anyone here an advocate for the Bush administration, yet still, STILL, these many years later, you persist in these silly games.

25. Innocence is the default position.
It has nothing to do with defending Bush as a person. Lacking any evidence, it is safe to declare Bush innocent.

And with the ridiculous claims made by the truthers, the certainty of Bush's innocence even grows. If the truthers had real evidence, they won't have to produce bullshit.

You believe in guilty without a trial when someone claims innocence? You believe in condemning those that support those rights? Sounds like exactly what the repugs do... How interesting.

32. What bullshit
There has been not trial, but of course bush should have a trial.

Just watch Moore's F9/11 for the evidence that bush needs to be put on trial. See, the way it works is: prosecutors figure a person s guilty and then they put them on trial. Guilt before innocence.

So... the question is, very simply, should bush face a trial? Or not.

Real easy question.

Anyway, I do find it rather odd that here on DU any such argument that bush is innocent. Is this the DU I used to know or is it gone bonkers?

34. No, you're innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt
That is the jury instruction from judges in the court of law. That is how it works in the US.

Outside of courts the burden of proof is on the person making the positive claim. If you claim there is a god, you have the burden of proof - not atheists. If you claim there are UFO's from another planet visiting the earth, you have the burden of proof - not the doubters. Likewise, if you claim that Bush conducted 9-11, you have the burden of proof. Lacking evidence in all these cases the default position is the negative.

In the case of the truthers: not only do they not have any evidence that Bush conducted 9-11, what they claim as evidence is ridiculous. What they claim happened is obviously impossible. There is ample evidence that truthers are full of shit.

And as for Moore not coming out and accusing bushco, if he did, he'd have been blacklisted or worse. They hate his guts already, he's really lucky to still be alive.

Anyway, this should be real easy for you: Did bush obstruct the 9/11 investigations? You do know obstruction of federal investigations is criminal, right?

13. The Saudi involvement has never been explained
Instead it was covered up on grounds of national security.

IMO the likely scenario: There were high level orders for US intelligence to back off Saudi links to al Qaeda and then feigned surprise by the very same high level officials after 9/11. What did they think would happen if the investigations were obstructed?
