Syrian Accountability Act

I haven't had any time to really look at this and interpret it, but the brief summary at the beginning speaks volumes already. Essentially, I interpret the word 'Terrorism' in the context of our foreign policy as a replacement for the Cold War 'Communism' scare. Terrorism is a convenient excuse to bully our way into starting theater wars undertaken by ourselves or by proxy through Israel.
The rest, well, I'll just have to look at in depth later.

1. Operative phrase: "and for other purposes"

Would that be PNAC purposes?

And what the hell is Barabara Boxer doing signing on as an author of this? I am reading that correctly?

I cannot fathom that Democrats will sign up for this. Just what has Syria done to deserve this? What are we trying to do? Jump start the Apocolyspe?

2. Crazy isn't it?

The Apocalypse is right about on par with Wolfy and Perle's ideology. They think starting the Apocalypse will make Israel safer so it's perfectly fine to do it. Meanwhile Rove is having tea with Satan and Cheney is drawing up big $$$$ contracts to work with Hell on.
